In my recent 1800kms kerala tour, me and wife both used Orazo Picus boots, that were the prize of last year's best travelogue contest. Wife's shoes were added to the prize kindly by Orazo. We tested them fully, and are really happy about their performance. They offer nice grip, and increase our perception of safety. At times, we rode for 5-6 hours wearing them, and didn't feel anything bad in feet because of them.
For tourers, definitely recommended. However, they are very distinctive, so have to take care outside temples and places where you have to leave your shoes outside. |

Guys can someone help me out here. I am planning to go for the Orazo I-bis boot. Now it's been a while I bought an AXO Primato II boot, and then sold it thinking it won't be useful just after a few rides. But then, now I think I shouldn't have made the decision in first place to sell.
Can anyone using the Orazo I-bis tell me how the boot's quality is, overall water resistancy, comfort in long ride! Would be much glad to know if anyone used it for any Leh rides, inputs much appreciated! Cheers! VJ

Guys, after 2-3 years of owning Orazo Picus 5.5 inch Boots, the left one has finally a slightly cracked sole. But they're durable and I'm still using them for college rides. But I used them very hard I think.
But, I'm unlikely to buy another Orazo boot. While there's no complaint to its functionality, but those Charlie Chaplin kind of big boot looks is something I'm tired of. I'm already a tall guy and this boot doesn't make me look any cool. That toe area is so fat that it grabs unneeded attention. Will get a decent Woodland or anything premium if I get them in Black Formal color. I request Orazo staff to redesign it in an appealing way, somewhat like the woodland posted above. Getting my idea? And also, please have different steel toe sizes for different sizes of shoes... |
