We had been given riding boots, made under the brand name of Orazo (by Verala Exports who are based in Noida), for use during this Passion Hunt Road trip. There are four different models, each with a unique set of features but with the common theme of being purpose made as safe riding boots. Check them out on the Orazo web-site here. Specialist motorcycling boots are an expensive thing. And moreover, they are purpose made just for riding. Not something you can wear to work or even walk around, what of tracing a mountain trail once you are up in the hills and the bike is parked close to a tempting forest walk.

The biking community in our country has always needed shoes and boots that provide safety for the feet in case of a mishap, are presentable to be worn to work and elsewhere, comfortable to be worn all day and offer good value for money on the pricing front.

The boots made by Orazo are just the thing for that kind of use. They give a good amount of protection to the foot while riding, are flexible and light enough to walk around in and presentable enough to look natural in the workplace. We have been using them for more than three weeks and are quite impressed with them. Wear these shoes all day, right from the tall 12-inch I-bis to the slip-on Falco, and right from day 1 they were like we'd been wearing them for a long time. The combo of leather and foam-bonded fabric upper and a thick but light n grippy PU sole allied with a steel reinforced toe works great both on the usability and safety fronts.

The upper is made from thick genuine leather and breathable foam bonded fabrics. And the black/orange combo looks pretty slick. The sole is Polyurethane, anti-skid, resistant to acids, alkalis, mineral oils and organic fats. The steel toe-cap built to European industrial safety standards that well exceed the limits needed for riding safety. There's a thick energy-absorption cushion in the heel and seat region that helps dampen vibrations from the foot-rests while riding and softens the footstep-shock while walking. The moulded sole, also a contributor to the cushioning effect, gives a wide foot-print area and yet is not obstructive during gear-shifts and rear-brake use.

And these boots by Orazo are cost effective at that. At a fraction of the cost of specialist motorcycling boots but matching up with a lot of their features, they make great sense.

Finally steel-toed boots have made their way to India. Was wondering about these boots since the day of the launch. Thanks for the info. I need riding boots badly.

High on VFM I guess. What about ankle protection? It does mention ankle protection on the rollover script, but am still a tad doubtful.

Nice stuff... and pretty VFM... especially the picus one...

However I will disagree calling them a mo'bike boot.... it doesnt have any extra padding or for the toe shifter, doesnt seem to have any mesh lining to avoid smelly feet!

They are good boots... but IMO not really mo'bike boots....

^^I feel they suit the average Indian City rider's needs to quite an extent. They may not be the best. But for that price, its a huge bargain compared to other International brands. To each his own I guess.

Nice stuff but quite expensive at their MRP.

The discount is good though.

Nice stuff...VFM! Would be excellent for Bullet bikers!
However, I'm more inclined towards the Cramster Touring Boots for Rs.4800...toe shift protection strips, shin&ankle sliders, torsion cup et.all!

Orazo Boots

In the collar area, the boots - Picus, Ibis and Coot - have a 4mm EVA padding in between the outer PU/ cordura and the PU foam cushion on the inside. This ensures good protection to the ankle bones against abrasion or minor impact.

Are these available in Delhi? I went through the website, it doesn't really mention any distrubitors located in Delhi, although it does have a Noida based address.
