Did you actually use the system while riding? If so, how was the experience? And regarding the battery level indicator, I will most probably use a variable resistor fixed to the base of a transistor which in turn drives a LED. Do you have any circuits? That would make my task a bit easier! Edit - This circuit seems good - http://www.reuk.co.uk/12-Volt-Batter...ator-LM741.htm

I tried using it, although the experience didn't yield any practical usage. But I do remember that time i was in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. And while riding with a 5W bulb was enough to illuminate the road clearly. There were no HID's that time, so had to think about something to increase light spread. ![]() The world looks green, but practically if can make use of such a device, our 35W bulbs would be enough for riding at 100Kmph! And yeah the circuit seems good enough, and I think that's exactly you are looking at? Or you have have digital input system in mind??. Though I don't have the circuit which i had built.

Initially, I was thinking of making a digital system. Maybe, a microcontroller with inbuilt ADC (say ATMEGA 32) and a 2x20 character LCD. But this circuit seems so easy and frankly, a digital system seems to be an overkill, if used for battery voltage alone. Maybe someday, will make a digital system with temperature readings, battery voltage etc. And then, there is the question of mounting the LCD somewhere on the console.

And then the LCD has to be weather proof as well.Although it wo'nt be practical, but love to see, a digital console displaying Battery Voltage, Consumption, charging Rate. See if you can make one.. we can market it!

i actually miss -
1). a GPS 2). an easily adjustable/removable touring visor(large size like the avenger ones) 3). a luggage carrier without compromising the bike's looks(dont know how its gonna happen, but innovation is what we need )4). comfortable rider and pillion seats, which dont start biting your ass in just an hour.. ![]() 5). tyres capable of holding a puncture for atleast some distance.. m not talking about tubeless ones...

![]() I really don't have much info about fuel meters. But I feel it would much easier to manipulate an ECU. As in a FI system, such parameters are recorded, though not in our Indian Bikes. Still we can try experimenting with a ECU... how about that?
