Hey fellas,
The other day I was out to get a car-cigarette lighter installed on my bike for charging cellphones/iPods on the go. I bought a cheap attachment for 100 bucks, then went to find a shop that could do the fitting. Upon stopping at a shop that sold auto electricals, the dealer told me two things: that I had paid 30 bucks extra for the attachment, and that a direct-fit charger is available from Roots India (better know for their horns and relays). The setup looked simple and cost 120 bucks. The catch was that it only had output for Nokia mobiles with thicker pin. Dealer was providing an adapter for thin adapter pins. I didn't get it installed coz I had a Sony Ericsson and an iPod to charge as well when on the go, but now I am thinking of getting it done. Here's the web link: Roots Auto Products Private Limited - Products - Mobile Chargers ![]() Anyone around using this on their bikes? Is a Sony Ericsson variant available? Also, how do I identify a fake Roots product? The charger I saw had Roots written in white on the black box thing. |

.You can keep it locked away in the top flap of a tankbag, or even you cargo pocket. The wire is long enough. BTW, did the model you saw had something written over it, like electrical specs? |
