And stopping people uneccesarily amounts to harrasement and a form of "entrapment". Whatever happened to that directive from the PC that they couldnt stop us anymore for just checking documents???

now there u go!!!

do u recollect seeing those motorola walky talky used by the Bangalore police???? trust me, they use it more efficiently when they have to stop a vehicle to collect theire bribe then to catch hold of criminal

and to top it they dont mind using their personal cell phones (if a one rupee call gets them 100 bux = it is good for them na, cost effective )

@redApple: After all they are cops and bad a** cops, u cant mess up with their childrens education and their wifes next saree

Hope, gandhigiri works fine for you as well, VIOLENCE, is not the ONLY solution (think wat if the stupid cop comes mid way on the highway trying to stop u and gets crashed like a tamato ) u wont like this na, ride safe....

I had been to nandi hills last saturday and as Tibby pointed out in this thread, there they were, right after the airport flyover. I was below 60 all the while (thanks to the warning on this thread ) so didn't get bothered. What is amazing is the speed limit boards which show "80" throughout the stretch... nowhere do they mention 60 as the limit for 2wheelers. Yet they stop 2 wheelers who go beyond 60 and explain about this imaginary rule. Weird!

I travel to my office in whitefield everyday and all along the ORR route the speed limit boards clearly state 60 for cars and 50 for bikes so there's no confusion on that route.

A reminder to all Bangalore xBhpians that an interceptor has been regularly monitoring violations at Ring Road. This is on the way to Mysore raod from PESIT, just about 100-150 metres ahead of PESIT. The speed limit for 2 wheelers is 40 so exercise caution as soon as you're nearing PESIT.

There's one speed breaker just when you reach PESIT, and the other is just after the interceptor jeep. Smartass cops have it easy to catch motorists since they'll be slowing down!

The Interceptor is generally present in the afternoons and evenings. No fixed timings i guess.

ok, i normally take tat route @ early morn and nite, haven noticed any of them

IMO, they should concentrate in managing traffic at the newly opened bridge. was struck in a crazy traffic yesterday for ~15mins around 9am. 3 sand lorries in 3 directions. Bl**y a** drivers, they never care for others

Just want to repeat my warning about CV Raman Road (the road that leads to Yeshwanthapur from TV tower/Fun World). There will be an interceptor sitting on the side of the road coming from Yeshwanthapur to Mehkri Circle. Keep your speed at 40 kmph untill you see the Rozzers and then blast away as soon as they are out of sight . No timings on the interceptor, they come out there randomly so keep your guard up.
