While coming from BIAL, i noticed the speed limits which were painted in yellow on the roads are now erased with black paints.
Does this mean any vehicle can travel at any speed on any lane?

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back;
and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

because,
1. Speedgun works during night. But cop's eyes cant.
2.they need to take a photo of vehicle to show as proof, which is not possible during night.
3. they cant identify who was speeding with bunch of vehicle during night with just headlights on

PS:- Just my thoughts

Once I was stopped at the same spot near Yelahanka signal (i think there was some kind of bridge there, a small one). The cops stopped to check the DL and bike papers. While I was showin my papers, 2 other cops were stopping other passers. An overspeeding guy tried to change to the next lane and throttle his way out, but one of the cops swung his assault weapon (a 5 foot long PVC pipe) and gave a whack on his back and laughing their way out uttering some bad words I guess.

I think your points make sense..
I've heard that the interceptors on NH7 are stationed as soon as daylight breaks in.. Too much hard work for the cops..

Now thats insane! I'm sure this is illegal.. If someone doesn't stopped when flagged to do so, the cops can send across fine notice to the offender (based on address registered with RTO).. If the offender fails to pay up, it goes forward to the courts it seems..
Its insane to use these means to stop people, as it might prove fatal on highways, & at high speeds..
I wonder when Bangalore cops will get some brains, they seem to think no end to themselves..

Bangalore cops always seem to run ahead of the crowd!!

The RD350 cop bikes in mid/late 80s. Way back then itself they were using breath-analyzers for drunken driving & doppler radar for overspeeding (I was fined once in Rajajinagar for overspeeding with that crappy equipment with no photos etc, but those days if you go to court to challenge it, the fines would increase).

BTW, the latest radars can all shoot at night with flashlight as well as I understand that they can record your speed from a distance as far as 1.5 to 2kms away during the day.

Default Irr

the speed limit on the IRR ( inner or intermediate ) is 60kmph
( from ejipura signal to domlur). does that mean , the speed limit for bikes is 40kmph ?

interstingly, i have not found a speed limit board in the opposite
direction .

There's another place I have frequently noticed the interceptor.. The stretch from corporation circle to Kasturba road.. the road which runs alongside Kanteerava stadium with Cubbon park on the other side.. This stretch is where many people are caught.. good stretch for ripping I must say .. first time I saw them I was almost caught.. fortunately I noticed the intereceptor from far away and kept my p220 under 40 as soon as I entered the stretch.. Watch out for this place on all weekdays in the daytime.. I usually dont see them in the evenings after 3-4pm..
