You know since how long this was cooking man. Yeah its finally out.

I will give some figures after we dyno the bike and do some testing with the speed gun, that should give a clear pic of whats happening.

Update

So far 780kms done after the engine rebuild . And the bike is feeling better day by day .
Good to know and read all of it..Keeping an Eye on it and
waiting for more!

The gearing is stock. So whatever rpm the stock bike takes to clock 120 is what this would also do.

@silver_falcon - FYI, there is no R15 race class. Its the Group B 130cc to 165cc 4-stroke class that you are referring to.
A 60mm piston on the R15 will make it 165.8cc and does not fit the class. You will get disqualified for even breaching 0.8cc.
However this big-bore has been tested extensively on our R15 and it has already surpassed a 2500kms reliability test and add to it a trackday with the highest possible abuse.

Good stuff. 2500kms reliability test would be the more valid point for touring. FYI, the R15 class race was information from Navnish .

I heard Navnish would be touring extensively very soon. 800kms in one day will be the real test.

Since the bore is not any after market material , it is also an OEM , then i dont think u ll get any reliability pblms.

COme on I managed to do 600kms in 7hrs on the stock bore and nothing happend.
Renu did 1700+ kms in 24hrs-Nothing at all happened

So i guess reliability wont be a pblm. Will be same as stock until the metallurgy is same

Oh its OEM? I thought it was not manufactured by Yamaha and was an after market. Can you confirm that Navnish/Joel? I'm pretty sure if its OEMs there should not be an issue with reliability whatsoever. It would be like questioning a CBR if it has the reliability to tour...which it does.

Its a after market part. And the quality of the piston and the cylinder is pretty good .

Dont you think if Yamaha had a OEM 165cc bore piston kit they would add it to their so called racing kit ????

thats what i thought..the reason i had that doubt was because navnish said that he was in the process of running in the engine..and i though isnt 120( at a consistent pace) way too high for an engine still being run in?
