Default My tuned 165cc R15

After a lot of headbanging on what mods to do on the R15 finally we decide to just plonk the 60 mm big bore on to my bike. I dint want any fancy mods on the bike because i tour a lot on the bike most of the time i just was keen to get some more power on the bike and i got it .

Its my 11 months old R15 with 14000kms on the odo and not stock anymore.
The build was competed within a few hours as it was just a plug and play mod .The bike is purely a street build and not a race build. key is reliability, economy and rideability.

Ctrl c + Ctrl v from joels post

Engine:
*Stock Cylinder head
*Stock valve springs
*Stock Valve sizes
*Stock camshaft
*Still need to check compression
*60 MM big bore cylinder piston kit
*Stock airbox and filter
*Stock throttle body and intake tract

Fuel management:
*Stock Injector
*Stock ECU + coil
*Altered AFR values for fueling inputs ( +4 / +5 )

Gearing:
*Stock sprockets
*Stock Gearbox
*Stock Clutch

External:
*Real time Volt meter display (extra weight )
* o2 sensor with a custom AFR meter. (extra weight )
*Stock looks
*Exhaust without the cat con ( Reduced weight )
*Few Yamaha stickers (extra weight )
*4300k HID (extra weight )

Next mod in pipe line

* A Stage 1 / 2 cam

Tuner

Special instructions and help from Joel
All dirty work was done by me.

Performance after the 500km + breakin :

Top-speed – 135 kmph on the nokia gps / 133kmph on the gramin GPS. Mostly on the inner ring road and outer ring road.Need to yet start trashing the bike

Still need to check it with the speed gun "Joel when can this be done ??"

Speedo showed junk values 145 - 148 at some places .
FYI my speedo sensor doesn't work no stock with Yamaha

Need to dyno the bike once . "Joel when can this be done ??"

Mileage
0-650kms after the rebuild = 42kmpl ( was mostly riding at 0-80kmph short bursts of 120 and 110 most of the time)
Planing to do some more runnin so that the bike becomes smoother.I feel it can do better.

The engine has awesome low-end and mid range torque than a stock R15. In simple words my bike is now complete . The engine is very street able and reliability is as much as stock. I just cant look back at the bone stock bike. The bike feels powerful. After riding a few stock R15s i feel sad for the stock r15 owners guys u need to upgrade

The bike looks stock . Like any other black R15 so don't think pics will make sense.

More updates to come soon. Need to set the tappets right get some fresh oil .Will update you guys after 1000kms which should happen anytime soon.

Well, IMO thats the thing we all riders want in our R15.
Hats off that you did it on your own.
Waiting for full throttle results once your run in is over and the dyno test. Any figures of how fast it accelerates now?
BTW I feel you are a owner of a Yamaha YZF R165

So, from the 57mm bore, you made it 60mm?

You said low and mid range torque improved. But, from what we have learnt, Big Bore means a shorter stroke, which should make it revvy?

So, What's the Top End power now, after making it 165cc?
