I used the railways from Bangalore to Delhi...I had to get it padded and covered myself but I had no problems in Delhi. Bike was okay, only some #%#% had cut the fuel pipe and my number plates were slightly bent.

i had my 1 week old fz transferred in the train and probably would have been the first person to devaluate my bike's price to 15k.....(to lower the transport charges) had it packed at kota station by the porter itself he used thermacol thin sheet, dry grass, cardboard and sack on top....
while alighting it at Madgaon i had given 50bucks to the porter so as to handle it carefully....

got it without any scratches although some were ther because of the dry grass on one side of the tank panel.....
but overall it was a good experience.... no hassle at madgaon also just ahd to give xerox copies of id, unsurance, receipts and driver's license....

Difference between an R1 and an FZ1 for a layman.... R1 is like a girl clad in saree while FZ1 is llike a girl clad in beach wear....

I got my Royal Enfield moved by Aggrawal Packers when I moved from Delhi to Bangalore a few years ago, and they put a nice big dent in my fuel tank.

Most inept and incompetent people. They lost one of my cartons too.
