@everyone

thanx for ur advices seems like everyone have had an incident like this in teir riding life

hopefully i was not hurt nor was the old lady but my R15s fairing did cracked a little and the indicator too was broken

it seems to be a confusion here, the thing is she was not drivin in front of me all the time!!, she just came out of nowhere RIDING TOWARD ME and not in front of me

if she would have been ridin in front of me i would have been cautious but this was a different case

@ srinathrao - i have seen similar incidents here in chennai well witho t main city roads.. A lady was driving an 800 and there was an activa rider who happens to be a lady riding behind t 800 around 10 metres distance.. The lady in the car happen to slam her brakes for no reason and lady in the activa didn't even notice it and just crashed in to the car.. This shows that the lady in the car was stupid enough to slam her brakes for no reason in the middle of the road and the lady in activa didn't have t enough reflex to stop t vehicle. The most interesting things is, both ladies didn't have license..

All I can say is
It is important that you ride safely at all times but more important, you should be able to cover up the mistakes done by others. That makes the difference between a true bike and other people.

You need to practice on your reflexes and bear in mind that anything can happen anytime.

Hope you are fine.

It is india 85% people in my city rides like an insane rider without proper riding gear..

i remember few days before i was riding at 35 -40km/hr..

one milkman was coming, he was looking back and was riding with to heavy milk filled utencils hung around his bike, he was'nt knoing anything how he was riding as he was looking back and suddenly he came to wrong side i.e. to my lane and he must be riding at 45-50 km/hr with no lid..
i was continuously blowing horn but he dint even noticed, i too was confused what shoud i do also that time it was not very possible to completely stop the bike, by the time his one milk ki tanki hit my R15's indicator and i slipped..
Nothing happed to me, thanks to helmet but my clutch lever broked and got some scratches on fairings..
now the main point comes, that milkman was shouting on me that i dont know how to ride WTF, that time i was so frustated that i gave one on his cheek, by the time my friends were crossing from there, they came and scolded that milkman.I would have noted his bike's no. but there was'nt any no. plate.
within mins he rushed....

MORAL- please be careful, nowdays anyone can collide with you even you are riding at correct lane with nominal speed

We cant do anything but be prepared, and well, accept a crash, if it comes our way, even when we are prepared.

For my part, I have numerous experiences with people, but most of them with pedestrians. They just dont care. Because you are on a machine that can stop and then move off without any effort from you, they expect you to stop.

I have had instances of ladies crossing the road at snail's pace even when they've seen me coming and I've honked the horn and flashed the twin headlights of my R15 for all they're worth.

All I do is speed up and narrowly miss them. 'Jaan ka dar', as people call it. That's what will set them right, because no matter how much you try to educate them, they will do the same thing at the next intersection. And I do make it a point to stop, gain attention and scold them even if they are elder than me.

Yes this a major problem .Though i did not want to pay any kind of bribe
i had no choice.Anyone from chennai would know the RTO opposite to the military base their i saw a soldier standing in the hall with his young daughter for over 2 hours cause he refused to pay the bribe. If this is what happens to a soldier in our country who would give up his life to defend us all(Including the RTO crooks) I think you can forgive these idiots.

Yeh hai INDIA meri jaan.

Translation - This is INDIA, my dear

Just a suggestion - Always keep your cool in roads and try to be 5-10 kms slower than the traffic.

I too do the same..But only if they happen to see me well before they step in to the road.. Not only that... you can see lots of people crossing the road as if they own in..That too chick talk over the phone when they cross the road... it take a lot to control my temper under such circumstances.
