and they call the same. no i am not criticizing hh.

and yes names don't matter. but in india, companies provide 'names' like unicorn instead of cb150f (correct me if i am wrong !) as in thailand (or other country ?). I don't know what drove them to do like that.

the original name for stunner / unicorn is much better. The 'stunner' is actually a very funny name. This bike turned out to be a biggest flop for honda.
Don't forget 'Shine' pfff! Why not CB150 or CB125 or CB125 PGM Fi these sound like proper bike names.

Nope! I cannot and will not ride a bike called PAPPU no matter how good or fast or feature laden it is. Sounds like a bike named by Lalu Prasad! There are teams who think of names. Hence names are not really random.

No offence to anyone but "Hunk" is the worst possible name in my opinion. Maybe it depends on people's personalities, but I find the a bit too presumptuous and boastful.
Hunk: A sexually attractive man with a well-developed physique.

While most other bikes use adjectives for their names, this is an exception in the sense that it uses an adjective that is specifically and strictly used with a male man. I guess the idea was to project the thought that if you ride this bike you were a hunk!
No offence to the owners, but I find the idea a bit revolting and immodest but i guess that's what the general populace wants!
On a lighter note, the owners of Hunk should pause and think about this: They are astride a sexually attractive man with a well developed physique, rocking with every pothole and speedbreaker. I hope they really ride safe, coz god forbid, if they happen to fall, then it may happen, that for a brief moment, the hunk will be riding them! he he

Boy! am I glad, bajaj dropped the definately male tagline!

I peronally like names which have both an alphanumeric code and a noun. Like GSX 1300 r HAYABUSA . Maybe DT220S pulsar i.

It is strictly my personal opinion that I find the name Hero Honda funny and their bike names homosexual (Apart from CBZ). Seriously: Splendor???? glamor????, Karizma???????????????????

I don't see any problem with manly names for bikes. Its right for the target audience, i.e. MEN. What if they start giving feminine names to their bikes? I can already picture:

Ravi: Oye Manish, wanna race my new Florina 250?
Manish: Nahi, yaar. My Monica is spending the night with my mecahnic because she's having periods. I mean... leaking oil .

I'd prefer a bike called Hunk over a womanly name like Lily, Florina or Elle. Anyday, anytime.

Male man? Is it even possible for someone to be a female man?

I would love to have a 1000cc called "little lily" with monstrous performance. I like the reverse psychology stuff.

he he ...you caught my typo error there...totally my fault, i should be more carefull when posting on public forum. ANyway, glad that i could give you some laughs....and get some in return too...the periods situation was pretty hillarious... I agree with you, it's completely ok to give manly names to bikes. What I find wrong with the name in question are the connotations that the word carries. I feel it's not suitable for a product that is supposed to be bought by guys. But then I guess it's just my opinion. To each his own I guess... And I did say that when I said that maybe that's what the general populace wanted.
Florina 250.....The name paints quite an imagery! what wopuld florina 250 look like? Flowers and frill design, in some fancy feminine colors like fuschia and the like which i have only heard of and have no idea what they look like...funny!
