Default Biking thrill for underprivileged children

SHILLONG, Nov. 20: Quoted from the Meghalaya Times

"Observing the International Children’s Rights Day in the city, Meghalaya xBhp sports and Adventure Club (MXSAC), Shillong in collaboration with Impulse NGO Network organized a thrilling biking show for under-privileged children of the city here on Saturday.

About 25 children from Sishu Siksha Ghar, Cantonment Area, were present to witness the breath-taking stunts performed by the MXSAC with FBz members at the Don Bosco Technical School. The underprivileged children invited are daily wage labourers from the slums of Shillong. Of all the children that came, most work as rag collectors, some as child labourers while others are employed in similar daily wage jobs.

Members of MXSAC, after performing all of their exhilarating stunts like wheelies, stoppies, burnouts among other stunts, said that they had been looking forward to holding such kind of a programme for the children. The club members also distributed stationary gifts among the children that they had bought with their limited funds that they raised from the members. The initiative was taken up by the club as they were aware that there are many children who cannot even accord enough money for schooling. The club has also been trying to tie-up with various NGOs to extensively promote road safety and safe riding practices to other bikers in the city."

Performers: Naylin, Laxman, Raul, Raj, Karan, Jdan, Owangdi, Paomin, Brian, Banti and Justin on the BMX.

This was the first time a Stunt Show was locally organised for the underpriviledge Children of Shillong and I do hope that in the near future we can take up more social events.

We are very much thankful to:

1. Bah John and the Lachumeire Authorities for permitting us to practice and prepare for the event. We are very much grateful.

2. Impulse NGO for the support and gathering the Children from various locations: keep up the good work, God Bless more philantrophists!

3. Fr. Rector of Don Bosco Technical School for the ground: For your patience and kindness. Your advice and suggestions appreciated.

4. FreakyBykerz for collaborating: theres a lot to learn and improve the team spirit.

5. Last but NEVER the least, our very own xBhp team from Shillong for their unending support, cooperation and team spirit!

Cheers!

Ride Safe!

Nice initiative..
stunters are never considered of any use to society, but you guys proved everyone wrong.. I am refering this page to everyone who says that stunters are irresponsible... This is a wonderfull example of the warmth we have for making our society a better place...

Helmets off to you guys... Keep up the good work...

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back;
and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

thanks Rockrz, what you said is true. We cannot change the image of the whole lot, but sure we can make a difference in as many as we can. Kudos to this spirit of biking!

Indeed you should take such initiatives. You can get sponsors for gifts and other requirements and can make a donation to the underpriviledge children and society. Try catching up with the NGOs who will most likely help you out in this noble cause.
Stunting for money is not bad at all provided it is focused for a greater cause.
Good Luck in case you are gonna take the innitiatives

Thanks for those words Satyen, it means a lot . As Sunny had once said during his visit to Shillong that xBhp should have a "Winter Session Office" in Meghalaya. We already have a temporary office for the operation!

And now the remaining pics of the event:

Naylin rocking all the way

FreakyBykerz and their kids

Just playing around with Justin on the circle suicide burnout.
