^^^ normally these bikes are ceased and kept in the DRI custody until the owner comes to claim it back... if the papers are clean then the bike is returned and if not clean then they calculate the price of the model prevailing at the year of import.. add hell lot of duty.. penalty.. get the sellers details etc etc and finally when your pockets are empty after paying all these the bike is returned to the owner.. well this was what actually happened to a friend of mine.. so guess its the same with all.

BTW just wondering why such an expensive bike was left dumped.. if the guy who bought it can afford it then can't he get a decent hiding space to hide it from the DRI ???

Yeah, they should paint it white, put some red and blue light on it and vollah!! super cop reporting for duty.

But its actually such a shame that such a piece of beauty has been abandoned thrown away. . I feel for that poor bike.

I'm ready to hire a truck and take this bike home. any one wants a share in the loot?

Jokes apart. Grey piece or not, why would anyone keep a bike as expensive as this one out in the open. And i'm surprised its even there after so many days in Mumbai!

Had I been Mr Ranjeev Bindra, upon being contacted I would have immediately moved it to somewhere out of the way and set about riding it...
He must not be a bike enthusiast. What a waste of a good bike.

The whole story doesn't make sense at all. I'm sure there's something more to what's been said about the bike so far.

o one turned up to claim the super bike, which cops towed away yesterday

In what may perhaps be a case of tax evasion, a Suzuki Boulevard bike, worth over a few lakh rupees, was towed away by the traffic police for not having a number plate.

The super bike was parked outside Cozihom building on the Nargis Dutt Road in Pali Hill and was towed to Khar police station.

According to the watchman, the bike was parked for over an hour outside the building gate before the cops towed it away.

Mean Machine: The bike was parked outside Cozihom building in Pali Hill.

An official from Khar police station, said, "This may be a case of tax evasion as no one has come forward to claim the bike yet."

In May this year, the police had seized over half a dozen imported bikes that were brought illegally in the city.

Besides, there were reports that several bikes were sold to film personalities. The police is scanning the RTO records to find out details about the owners of the bikes.
