I heard that it took Suzuki more than a month to decide the name for this wonder, finally they got it - The Hayabusa, japnese word for the Falcon, the bird that travels more than 300 kmph when it is going to attack the prey.

And the prey being the "Blackbird". They kept the name Hayabusa becuase the Hayabusa [bird] feeds on the Blackbird [bird] and also the Busa broke the Birds speed record.

U r right V12...it was a direct hit at Honda and the Blackbird. If u have seen the two Hayabusa Ads, the first one says : " Certainly everything else looks like prey on the Hayabusa..."

And the second one is a direct hit at Honda : " Presenting the GSX1300 R Hayabusa...Its proof you don't need "wings" to fly..."

and here we fight on definately male and definately female kind of things....

i would still say that hayabusa is the fastest PRODUCTION bike in the world, which unfortunately the latter ain't. See the emphasis is on PRODUCTION. The bike u mentioned isn't naturally aspirated and as a result doesn't remain STOCK anymore. Hope u got the point.
