Hey all,
I finally thought I would put up some pictures of my 2004 zx10. It was a road bike till I recently bought a set of second set of race fairings and fixed them up and painted it. Finally a friend has a vinyl cutter so I decided to cut out some custom vinyls and make it personalized. I have done a fair few modifications to it since I first picked it up 2 years ago. All of them are handling oriented as theres plenty of power on tap already . heres a list if I can remember correctly 2004 zx10r Brakes: Brembo 18 x 20 master cylinder to pump more fluid and give more feel. Upgraded Nissin brake callipers Stainless Steel braided brake lines Dot 5.1 brake fluid EBC race pads. This setup is as good as any brembo ducati setup from factory. 2 finger stoppies no issue with excellent feel. Great at the track if I can get my body position setup to brake as hard as I am game enough for. Fantastic to outbrake people into corners Suspension: GP suspension 25mm cartridge kit. Revalved and Resprung rear shock by GP suspension with new piston inside 2005 zx6rr dogbone linkage and rocker arm to make the swingarm travel linear. Extra spacer on the top of rear shock for more rear ride height Techspec Tank grips Dunlop GP racer tyres . Cut slick at the back and Slick on front. Engine is pretty stock except for a K&N air filter , Ivans Timing retard eliminator. Micron exhaust which sounds awesome! I still have to put a quick throttle insert in and then I will be happy ![]() Here are some pics of what it used to look like as a road bike, as a previous track bike and how it looks now after paint and some custom vinyls. |

Btw I just change tyres for the Superbike school. However that puts me at a fantastic place that I can ride with the instructors every now and then and learn from them. ![]() ![]()
