Default KTM 125 Early next year

Found this piece of information over MCN. Oodles of X-Factor and Fun. Would be very interested in seeing at what price range the bike gets launched as it would give some hit of Bajaj's plan to release this bike in India.

Though a 125cc bike, it definitely looks big

Nice video of the KTM 125 under development.

But even I have this feeling that not many in India would digest a 125 cc (15PS) bike that will cost probably over the P220, ZMR or R15.

i see a lot of guys buying this and adding the R15 front and clipon on this bike

however iam seriously considering buying this supermoto bike if the seat height is same as that of pulsars.anything higher and i have to use leg prosthesis . this would be a perfect ride for the city and am amazed at the way guys do knee scraping and effortless drifting on these bikes.i have been longing to get a supermoto for a very long time.

Yep, it does carry that Supermoto type of bike looks.

Should be a light bike as well, for good power to weight ratio.

Did I read 10 NM torque @ 9501 RPM or Did I read Peak power @ 4750RPM?

Duh!
If it has a crazy torque band, and has atleast the top whack of a 220, I would buy it!!!! Damn and if it doesnt have either, and if I get to test ride it, I know I would still buy it :P

Please bring the bigger (slightly) bigger KTMs too!

As Satyen said..... I also think if Bajaj decides to bring it on to Indian shores, it has to be of slightly bigger capacity. Was having a discussion with a very close friend about where we were sharing thoughts about trends in Indonesia, wherein CBR125R is manufactured for European markets (because of their license norms), but for in-lands, CBR150R is manufactured. So, I think going at those lines and since the Bajaj has such huge stakes at KTM, it won't bring a 125cc KTM. At least 200-250 or above would prove good providence.

@nitro - dude, XBhp does not have a separate Superbike and separate Import section, therefore had no other choice .

I'll give it to you. The 'bike in the video with the rider on it' looks Supermoto'ish than in the photos.

I can already imagine of fitting knobby tyres and the bike would be ready for the dirt trail..!!

I seriously hope bajaj doesnt tinker with the moto looks to suit Indian sentimentalities..One bike which'll suit many conditions and the chassis can sure handle a bigger and rebored engine by the looks of it,somewhere in the near future after they've launched this bike.Hope they bring in the slightly bigger ones too..However it'll turn out to be a niche bike IMO,but heck,it "should" find takers coz it's a KTM..
