Default Which Bike, Supersport or Superbike?

My parents live in Dubai and this time I am gonna get my UAE license and will be buying a bike and since I just stay in dubai for a month per year and live i pune and where i own an R15.

I will be going for a second hand option and had my mind set on Honda cbr600.
I can afford a bike of 2008-09 model. So please help me decide which one to go for the options are given below
1.CBR 600
2.CBR1000(may have to compromise with the year their prolly 2007-08)
3.R6
4.R1 *
5.The kawasaki 600cc

My basic usage will be city riding and pleasure not pro riding nor any mods.

or any other cheap 600cc bike you have in mind

please help

If you are taller than 170cms, you can also try the Suzuki V-Strom 600. Lovely motorcycle.

Don't scare him!

@mihir: Nothing of that sort will happen. You will be just fine.

I wanted to go for a honda or a yamaha i dont know why but for some reason I dont like Suzuki.Dont get me wrong I am not at all concerned with the looks of the bike. But I just thought via motogp and indian bike magazines that honda was the way to go.Can you tell me somethings about the honda and yamaha and kawasaki also.

By the reviews I read Kawasaki was a more docile and Street bike compared to these.I also want power and smoothness and dont care about comfort and since i already ride an R15 the posture would only be a tiny bit more uncomfortable and since i have adjusted in this posture it wont take long for me adjust with the new bike also.

can you make a list of like classification in power and handling and acceleration and also street friendlyness.

Thanks for all your help.
My height is 178cm

None of the bikes you mentioned are particularly street friendly, the power band on most of them is above 7000/8000rpm, from the list cbr600rr will be the most easy to ride on the street.

If your just going to just do city/pleasure riding why not look for a ducati monster or a triumph street triple/speed triple, i'm assuming in dubai it will be around the same price range as a cbr600rr.

As far as engines, what do you mean by best? more power? as far as i remember 08 cbr1000rr has an oil burning issue, i think honda has fixed this problem with newer bikes,.

Someone mentioned a Er-6n, take a look at that, a suzuki sv-650 is a really good starter bike, plenty of low end power perfect for city riding.

Honestly if you can, test ride them and then decide, don't just go by what's been written in bike magazines.

Actually I would prefer a sports bike to a street fighter What i want is an experience of pure power and also the bike would be ridden only 1 month a year so I dont mind the posture much.
But since everybody has recommended street fighter I will take a look at them also and I will be buying a second hand bike for sure because of Budget problems.
I like the Kawasaki Er-6n.

Which one would be the best in supersports.
and which one will be the best in the streetfighter segment
including yamaha fz6 and also the kawasaki and also any ducatti which will come in the same range and any good suzuki street fighter.

I will be taking test drives but since I have never driven a bike above Pulsar 220cc I wont be able to differentiate amongst them will be turned on by any 600cc machine and wont feel the difference.Or would I?
