The Ninja is 3 lacs on road and the Honda 250R with ABS will be approx 1.9 (1.7 for without ABS) on road. Do you think it will kill the Noinja sales? Why or why not?

CBR250R Approved.
![]() Sales: Yes. Performance: No. what i'm really looking forward to tho is the performance of the ABS. having ridden and loved the C-ABS CBR1000RR... i'm curious to see how the ABS on the CBR250R performs. if it's half effective as on the 1000RR... the additional cost of the ABS variant is definitely worth it on an already well priced bike. @sunny in my opinion ,its a partial yes. Both the bikes are classes apart with differences starting with the no. of cylinders. And when you look at it at an indian consumers perspective of price is the ultimatum,it might affect partially in a way. I am saying because off late the maturity levels of customers have increased beyond the price, ppl are looking at performance figures. Come on the r15 is still selling like hot cakes with so many low cost alternatives in the market. At an average joe's level like me, yes i might choose the honda over the jap even after knowing the differences, but it would definitely not be on the basis of price difference between the 250 s. So this kindof hybrid market will definitely choose the honda. A guy who s looking for pure proven performance of a 250 ,without any budget constraints would ideally pick up the ninja.

the cbr will definitely have better sales than the ninja....
can comment about the performance right now.... but i dont think there should be much of a difference apart from a sustained higher end power in the ninja.... ABS is surely a thing to look forward to.... In my opinion i would go for the cbr anyday....

Both the bikes have a different target audience/home
CBR: will be an excellent commuter, delivering good performance & fuel economy & the ABS. Ninja: Will blow the honda in terms of outright performance, but for 1.3L more & will guzzle more gas than the Honda

Is the CBR250R a Ninja250R killer... You Kidding Right?
![]() Will the CBR250R put a dent on the Ninja250R sales? .... Absolutely! Indian's love fairing's And Indian's love to have things at cheaper prices! The CBR has both of this potent combination and it will kill the Ninja there. But yeah, to the true enthusiast it won't really matter. The CBR250R is perfect for those looking to upgrade anything from the 150-180 or even lower range. Its priced right, its powered right! But for someone coming from the R15/220/ZMA series its not that much of an upgrade IMHO. Moral of the Story, CBR might just steal a lot Ninja's wind from its sails! I really think Honda has got its pricing SPOT ON for this bike. But the tables might just turn if BAL pulls up a surprise with a slightly cheaper Ninja or a the Duc 200 being priced lower than the CBR.

I am sorry, didnt clarify that I was speaking in terms of sales not performance. But in the end that what drive companies, the performance though should be acceptable tp most people if they know they are saving more than a lakh.

India is a very price SENSITIVE market & I think CBR 250 R will definitely effect the sales of the Ninja 250R. As most of them have already mentioned that to a few performance enthusiasts it may not be an option at all, but for the aam junta who want to upgrade from the 220 it will definitely be. Honda has given it a killer price tag & most of us agree to it too. We will definitely see more CBR's than Ninja's.
Praful: BAL will not pull out a cheaper Ninja, they MAY give you a cheaper Pulsar 250. Forget about the Duke 200 being cheaper than the CBR, if BIKE INDIA is to be believed, it will be at par with the CBR. CHEERS, G D

no way ninja is ninja, honda cbr 250 is just another bigger karizma,i am not saying that i am having a ninja but the truth is ninja is a parallel V twin with 8 valves also two silencer into one and u know when u ride one,cbr 250 is just a single cylinder with 4 valves... yes ABS might work good on cbr's favor but only just.. Honda is just giving a good value for money bike...
