Now that you have the link to the riding gears, share more info about your bike please.

well wat can i say bout the bike its freaking amazing. i still cannot believe that i own this machine but to be very honest i never liked the honda.. i used to ve no feelings for it but as fate would ve it, i think the universe conspired to let me know that im in for a real surprise..
yes this is a superbike well supersport technically but be aware it is nothing less than a sbk for us amateurs. i was scavenging every corner of this country to buy a bike when i had the chance(or money)... i couldn wait to get my hands on my 1st big bike. finally i saw this all imports paid cbr600 of a filthy rich guy who never rode the beauty at ll and i just couldn resist taking it. he seems to ve grown passion for supercars well my luck i suppose. anyways even though i never liked a honda i thought what the heck!! its my 1st bike so how does it matter what it is and a bike in this condition??? i couldn give it a miss. i bought this bike and took it for a spin!!!!
at 1st i took it slow.. reaaaallll slow... i've seen the honda ad where they show that when u ride a honda you actually feel ur flying amongst the clouds... guess what they are right.. the bike has absolutely no unnecessary vibrations and its suspensions must be maglev or something like tat... it is that good.. the negative part of it though is that the cbr is more like an angel and sounds like that too.. it has all the good boy qualities.. i mean a bike on which u can go and visit your girlfriend's parents
its not the bike which makes that grunted noise.. i personally love such sounds because common isn't it obvious... a sbk should make a statement..
then came the day i took for a long ride and opened the throttle... and then suddently i realised that the angel was actually a devil in disguise... the bike just flew effortlessly.. between gears i sometimes felt the wheel go up a little... all hell breaks loose when u open throtle.. (well it still sounds sober though)
u know that the electronic steering thingy is working when u hit on the front brakes at high gears without degearing..
all in all honda is a very forgiving bike.. trust me on this 1.. being a beginner i dont think any bike would let me 've so much fun.. im sure i would ve ended up badly bruised.. yams and gixs are made for race tracks.. agreed they r fast,, no doubt on that but then again a bike which gives you so much pleasure on the streets too is something worth praising.. this bike actually takes care of u like a mother.. forgiving u and patting on your back whenver you are doing mistakes.. at the same time it can still show u a lesson or two when u open that throtle..
above 8k and 12k rev this is a beast u wish u hadn't sat on.. but at any speed u feel that you are actually cruising and the engine is holding back a lot of power because it is so smooth to be on this bike even at high speeds and about pillioning it.. i think i never would want to be a pillion on any sbk.. it scares the cr*p out of me...
having said this all i was very upset with the sound and i saw all the other sbk sound like a bullet shot when they went past me.. soo im going for a hot bodies mgp growler exhaust... im definitely going to make a before/after video of it.... its going to sound sweeet...

thank you xbhp and xbhpians.. without you guys i don't think i would 've ever felt confident enough to buy a bike.. the knowledge on bikes i got through your forum is unparralel to any other.. i found people with similar passion of biking and incredible attitude towards sharing their knowledge and helping out a fellow xbhpian. i joined this forum after seeing the 1st edition magazine.. i constantly read through all your threads on the sbk and imports.. and that helped me .. thank you

Awesome !!! Please post some pics of the bike. Would love to meet you and see the bike in the flesh. I've always wanted to get a 600 but couldnt find a clean, legal one. Hopefully i'll lay my hands on one in a while.

The Hotbodies MGP Growler is one helluva can. As it is the bike runs like a cat on sterioids, with the end can it'll sound like one too. You'll love the sound and it can get very very loud so be ready for a lot of attention... from cops too

Basically any aftermarket end can will make an inline four engined bike sound mad. The sound will vary between high pitched, deep and bassy, etc. between different brands. Growlers make them louder since it's literally a straight pipe. Expect some bump in power with the end can since it offers lower restriction to exhaust gases being emitted out of the system.

Some more details on the bike would be great for people like me who want to get a 600. How much did it cost, what year, model, how did you decide on whether the engine, transmission, etc. were good and did not need major maintenance in coming years, etc.

In addition to the riding gears, get yourself a copy of Nick Ienatsch's book - sport riding techniques and a dvd of Keith Code's twist of the wrist. These will help you ride well, enjoy the bike to the hilt while ensuring that you do it safely.

P.S. where do you intend to carry out the servicing of this bike?

Hope my post helps.

Enjoy the bike and ride safe. Congrats on the honda

Harish, Congratulayions!
Your post is full of emotion but you haven't told us much about your bike other than it is Honda 600cc. Be careful when you ride this bike. Believe me, any bike in this capacity is way powerful than any Indian bikes. You should have got the protection before you bought the bike. Get it immediately and do not ride without them. You get the armor first then go to a battle.
