Exclamation Calling all Official/Unofficial Yamaha MT-01 owners

Hello Xbhp!

This is a shout-out to all the Yamaha MT-01 owners in the country. If you are an owner or you are well acquainted with someone who owns this motorcycle (official or unofficial) please have them Register with Xbhp and post here.

I am working on researching the usage trends, mileage, common technical issues and service concerns so that I can project the direction that the Yamaha service center needs to take.

Some of us owners have had issues with:

1. Insurance
2. Warranty
3. Spares availability
4. Spares Pricing
5. Support for Yamaha aftermarket products (Their own company products!)
6. Service quality and thoroughness

I am taking this step to wipe that out both here on Xbhp and on Facebook where I have started a group dedicated to MT-01 India owners.

While the rest of the SBKs which are more common (Busa/R1 etc) tend to have speedier deployment of spares, the more rare big-bikes often get the short end of the stick.

I am struggling, for example, to get my valve clearances verified and corrected. I am also struggling to get the throttle bodies synchronized because the service guys don't know how to do it.

It took a YEAR of constant badgering on my part for the company service center to get a Chain breaker tool!!

Time to fix this...the more owners we have here and on Facebook, the louder our voice.
