Default Wintery Affair – GODS launch superbike calendar

“Winter is nature’s way of telling you to polish” GODS - Group of Delhi Superbikers presents 2012 superbike calendar. Highlighting their passion for ‘riding’ the calendar provides glimpses of machines that rule the hearts of these bike lovers. A one of its kind and first for the county, the calendar has been shot at multiple locations in Delhi so as highlight the beauty of the city as well as the bikes that are in question. Sponsored by Suzuki Motorcycles India along with associated partners like Citibank, Xbhp, Hot Wheels, Modern
Stage Service and vh1 it would provide a 12 month bike extravaganza.

“This calendar is very special and very close to our hearts as it concerns our passion our life-motorcycling! We have been riding superbikes since ages and we thought that why not capture these images comprising of real riders and bikes so as to share our passion everyone in and outside our fraternity. The phenomena that we call as motorcycling”, says Doctor Arun Theraja (founder of GODS). We would also like to thank Mr Atul Gupta – Vice President Marketing, Suzuki motorcycles India Limited for extending their support without whom this would not have been possible. Our associate sponsors Citibank, Hot Wheels, Xbhp, Modern Stage Service and vh1, thank you for your support.

Alex John – a senior member and the force behind this project commented “It
all started on one of our coffee ride (evening rides to promote coffee culture rather than alcohol). Well it was just another day GODS celebrating biking, brotherhood and safe driving, like always Dr. Arun (aka - Doc) was busy clicking photographs after a hot cup of coffee... One can see his passion while clicking pictures of superbikes... capturing every moment spent while biking. This is where I decided I needed to make this big”. He further adds all our life we have collected superbike posters (best example is doc' garage) why not make our own calendar also it’s an effort to promote biking in a responsible way and increase the awareness amongst the general public about safe riding rather than it just being a mode of transport which at times can become life threatening if not taken seriously.

Here is a leaf from the Calendar

The main photographer for this calendar is NITIN ROSE who is an experienced New Delhi based automotive photographer with a work profile consisting of pictures of some of the best supercars and superbikes in the world. Apart from photography, Nitin also has a keen interest in superbikes.

xBhp was also present at the event as the Official Magazine Partner. Here are some pictures from the event
