Default MV Agusta’s F4 1000 shatters bike records...!!

MV Agusta’s F4 1000 has shattered all production bike records, going into the record books as the fastest and most powerful road-going superbike ever. The bike recorded a monumental top speed of 294.4kmph in recent tests by British bike mag MCN. The 996cc engine recorded a power figure of 156.1PS at the back wheel (168PS at 11,750rpm is claimed) that makes her the most powerful superbike on the dyno.

Close on the heels of the F4 1000, the Italian firm has also released an even more special version, the F4 1000 Ago. Built as a tribute to 15-time world champion Giacomo Agostini, only 300 examples of the Rs 18-lakh machine will be built and will feature a host of extras including a free-er flowing titanium Arrow end-can, fully adjustable Sachs racing rear shock, Showa front forks with titanium nitride inner coating and uprated Nissin 6-pot monoblock racing calipers that grip lightweight 310mm discs.

However that’s not the end of the F4 line. The F4 1000 Tamburini is just weeks away from production and promises to be the most outrageous of them all. Justifying the Rs 25-lakh price tag will be a host of incredible parts and only 300 will be made to honour the legendary designer of the F4 and Ducati 916, Massimo Tamburini.

Most of the development has centred around the variable length inlet trumpets that are a first for a road bike. The electronically adjustable inlet trumpets boost low-end grunt or top-end power as demanded with solenoids altering the length of the inlet tracts above 9000rpm. The engine is expected to make 167PS at the back wheel which should make it even quicker than the stock F4 1000, already the quickest production bike in the world.

Externally the Tamburini looks identical to the drop dead gorgeous F4 1000 and the earlier F4 750. All the panels are hand made carbon fibre with a clear coating. The swingarm and pivot is of magnesium alloy while even the Marchesini wheels are made of magnesium alloy. The Tamburini also gets the delicious suspension from the Ago and an individually signed numbered plaque on the top yoke.

Yup... even I'm kinda surprised my this claim coz the busas n the 12Rs have been electronically restricted to 299 kmph. Stock unrestricted Busas touch almost 320 - 330.
