Yupp ! the 2008 version is discontinues, 2009 version is available in stock around the world !! upgrade :: only price and nothing else

I even read news about lime green being discontinued. I guess Lime Green is available only as a limited edition. There is even a Limited Edition Diablo Black available !!

Got no details on when it is available in india, but I am sure it will cost a bomb.. 2,16 else where, when comes to India should be abt 2.5 to 2.75 !! Hold your breath, I hear it is going to have atleast 60% localization .. i dont know how far it is true, but i am not speculating !!

But, can I speculate that if these specs (Ninja® 250R : Specifications) were to be true and held alive while it rides into India, BIKERRS, let's get ready to receive a legend. parallel-twins, double-discs, 250cc, liquid cooled, FI.

With respect to the other parts of the world, these are factors the current Indian Biker craves for (At least I do). So, I see a tourer-cum-performer.

Lets keep fingers crossed and get ready for a major clash as you might have noticed that BAL has been silent for quite some time now, and Mr Bajaj is not someone who takes defeat. At least, for what he has proved (once upon a time, since most of the old Pulsars have begun to give in already )

I had heard in a news channel that Ninja will be launched this year itself at a few selected Porbiking dealerships. And they also said that when Bajaj is gonna produce it it will be around 140-150k ex showroom.

great to see this thread back. priced 2.16 lakh would be a good buy. but still, if its below 2 lacks(1,99,000!) would give a better feel...

It might suck on some features.... but then.... who else is giving us 6-7sec to 100kmph and a top whack of over 160kmph ???

Btw..... dont speculate on the features just now.... the 250R does come with a Fi too in some parts of the world currently... see this

Btw.... I personally still like the analog console.... and still most SBKs come with analog meters. Be happy that atleast the bike is a mini-SBK..... not like the R15 (no offence... but I think yamaha has cheated Indians bigtime... costing 1.1L for a 150cc m/c)

I am not speculating..... but as of what I've heard from PBK guys (I know they speculate everything).... the bike will be launched by dec08-jan09... and it'll be imported from Thiland... coz India-Thiland import treaty results in just 10% imports-increase on parts.... bajaj will assemble the parts except the engine which will be imported as it is.**

**everything is speculated..... cant help.

The Ninja 250 and the ER-6F/ER-6N are 'only' made in Thailand for the entire world.
