Default Kawasaki Ninja 650R

[Its like back in the times when xBhp was born. I was one of the few who joined very initially but was very inactive coz it was still shaping up and i preferred to be a mute spectator.

But as its popularity grew, and it became more and more addictive, how could i resist myself from joining in

Now its all empty again, all the wealth of knowledge is gone, well not for the ones who have been following it but for the new ones to come. ok ok .. got it, i shall not stop and get back to why i started the thread ]

History: I bought my first bike in 1999, and he (yeah not she, i took his as my elder brother i.e. Jai Paaji) was Black CBZ, Disc Brake Edition. Life was uber cool back then, it was the only happening thing and was i not flaunting him :-p

I was and will always be the fan of my CBZ ... Always. Got bored of regular 9-7 job and thought of getting into further studies and came to US. My sister & bro-in-law are in US, came here and was trying to get my hands on a CBR (high hopes right...).
Well a second hand one was out of coverage, and out of the options available, the one i went for was "Kawasaki Ninja 650R", and i sure did made a right one.

It is a 2007 model. 650cc, 72 bhp, 6-Gear machine. Have been riding it almost 50 miles everyday since i bought it.
Its stance is exactly like my CBZ, so it was a familiar surprise for me

Have been thinking to go for a long ride, but no use, dint get time and summer now is almost over. Last weekend went for a 160 Mile short stint and will be writing about that here:

Me and my friend Jassi (he has Yamaha R6), left somewhere around afternoon, day was bright and sunny but we could see some clouds to play spoil sport. The place we were going to was kinda countryside, so we dint had much traffic and more importantly not many cops

So after a long warm up we started pushing our bikes, my one topped at 132 m/hr but Jassi was still going strong at 135 m/hr. Well Yamaha's 100+ bhp explains that i guess

Best thing about America is its scenic roads, there is so much greenery and breath taking views that you cant help it, you have to get down often and click pics and that what we did :-)

It started raining and we had to take shelter under a bridge.

Some info about my Ninja:
1. Tank has a capacity of 4.5 Gallons.
2. I get an average of 55 Miles/Gallon.
3. Tops at 132 Miles/Hour.
4. It is a compromise b/w a sports bike & a tourer.
5. Front type is 120/70 & Rear 160/?
6. It has an under engine exhaust.
