Its a much better looking bike and has good reviews in UK.

Oh, and the R125 ain't coming. I can guarantee that.
In that case you should lock this thread. You just answered the title.

I'd have done it ages ago, but someone always manages to start a new thread of a similar nature every other month. Better let one thread standing.

It gets good reviews IN ITS CLASS. It's more of a learner's bike than anything else. The bike would have very abysmal sales anywhere other than in europe because of the unfavorable price/ performance ratio. Like here in Singapore, for example. Barely a dozen can be seen on the streets while the more expensive Aprilia RS 125 manages to sell in steady numbers.

Sorry if its a repost, one of my friend has made advance payment for this bike. now Yamaha says they may not launch the bike here and cannot refund the money too
They have offered him to buy a FZ or R15 which he does not want to buy

Bizzare..totally bizzare

the dealer who ever has done the booking did not have good intentions ever...

when the Yamaha India head has denied outright the scope of getting the R125 to India, how did that dealer do the booking???

Plz close this topic mods . The R125 is just too expensive and too slow to be ever launched in India . Who would want a bike thats around 2 Lakhs and still is slower than a RTR . Its good looking learner bike in Europe but it has no scope in India .

@ Gautam:--> I'm sure the dealer had bad intentions. One cannot take advance for one product and then ask you to purchase another. Your friend can go the legal way, and get double the advance amount back, on charges of unfulfilled commitment.

This law is there, atleast for property dealings. Don't know exactly will it apply here or not, but it should.

---
@ Puneet1: Dude, we understand R125 may not come to India, but please read carefully the last 3 posts, from Synn to HydBiker's post.

I say R125 is one of the most overrated bikes. Synn bro is correct about RS125 - It's a 2 Stroke, and it deserves & gets more attention.

Ahhh!! YZF-R125 coming to India. Pulsar 300 / 350 coming to India. Gosh. Some people will never change.
I have put two big reasons of why the 125 wont come to India on my blog. Hope it makes sense and will make people understand why Yamaha has no intentions of getting it here
