That happens..and even if it doesn't actually happen, the uncertainty about the road underneath is always on the back of one's mind and that affects how hard one brakes.

But there is one notable advantage the big bikes provide. And that has to do with their superb control feedback. The rider can actually feel every incremental difference in the braking force as he makes millimetric lever and pedal movements. This amazing feedback is just not there in any of our Indian bikes (with the probable exception of the R15 to some extent). This ability to 'feel' the contact patch while braking is a great confidence booster.

That was really a deep study i did bout sbks for the first time.. Real good post Mr.Ken. I probably learnt more from this than i wud hav from an owner's manual for a superbike!!. Also about the pillion's experience, had been(only as pillion) on a frnd's '06 R1, when braking its as if the bike is doing a stoppie when he braked hard and got pushed hard enough to feel being thrown off from the back seat and at times when it came to a complete stop i literally stood up on the foot pegs! But the rest was all fun. Kudos to all superbikes and their owners.

Its really nice to see some people writing about fulfilling their dreams. Atleast people like me who can't, can read this&go into a happy world of dreams, like a movie we would never wanna come out of!
Thanks for writing Ken Da, it really feels very nice to read this over&over again.
I can be happy in the world of your threads. Its much better than my sad reality.

Hey, you are a great writer who knows how to write emotions . . .very nice. . .loved the part where description of the beast goes on, it is The Bike lol. . .. . nice man. . .but don't you feel like your hands are tied on these delhi roads and you cannot use your machine to its potential. I mean you got this bike to feel it, love it and to fly on it not to just to be careful on roads to avoid potholes and save your self and the Beast. ..
