Do you/ have use it for touring? Touring as in not a full-fledged ride of 700-800 kms. but may be 300-400kms. round trip or something of that sort? Because, after all it is a hyper-"tourer", ain't it? The seats, the riding position, the power (but, ofcourse) would make it an awesome tourer!

Well yes. Plenty of rides to lonavla, pune. I feel that giving it a tourer doesnt really hold true on Indian roads. If u tour around too much on this, u'll probably end up with a half broken bike & back

Pc3 is anyways required as removing secondary flies requies mapping but can also be done manually, for the time being by an experienced hand
Agree, I dont know about any dynos there in Mumbai there arnt any here for sure. But the PC3 website gives a lot of ready made custom maps available for a large variety of trick bits. Do check that out. I have no idea what a Tsukigi is, and what do you mean by secondary files. (I am assuming thats a typo) Be sure to ring in if you are coming this side would love to meet a motorhead like you. We should have a mumbai-pune mid meet in K'dala soon! I have been hearing you guys are having way too much fun

No dyno in India dude. I can vouch for that, if there was then I wouldnt get my maps from outside. Too many small small issues, settings etc with this beast. So really have to be careful. Dont want to start on details, otherwise it'll be a really long post.
Tsukigi is a brand for exhaust systems. Killer ones. Secondary butterfly valves is what I meant. The ZZR1400 has these valves which opens past 6k rpm for some killer power boost. If you take them off. Your power boost starts from 3k rpm

Ya we should do this meet. Sick of riding to the same place everytime.

At xBhp you would find members touring on their R1 and Ninja AND they haven't either broken their backs or their bikes, hence, I thought the ZZR1400 would be a much capable tourer than those full blown sportsbikes like the R1s and the Ninjas!!

P.S:

I am sure you must have gone through certain threads at xBhp where a certain R1 has completed some mind-boggling distances, in India, and have been taken to some insane heights! Search around, read up and you would be amazed!

Na thanks mate. I'm very happy to ride my hyper tourer on shorter rides like Mumbai - pune - lonavla etc etc. If the routes were carefully mapped out, then I guess it would have been a good ride. With me, it would be like, thank god I reached & just want to chill after going through our wonderful roads. I personally wont enjoy it. Hats off to the R1 dude. That bike isnt half as comfy as the 14R, so I really hope he enjoyed it

Oh yes I did! Overall crossed 25000 kms on the R1. Bike not broken. Back takes a toll for sure. But I guess long distance riding on any "R" bike will take a toll on your back. And I am not going to stop.

I guess it is just a question of what one wants to do. Anyway I am waiting for your report on the V-max as well.

Thats a freaken killer achievement mate. Congrats. Dont put it that lightly that ur back does take a toll takes a beating, but with your spirit & enthu, all this takes a back seat. Dying to get delivery soon for the VMAX. All delayed due to this cost cutting etc going on with all manufacturers. So hoping Dec 2nd week.

@Sunny, mate that beast has had some insane R&D done on it. Any idea which team's 14 is it, as I'm in touch with most who have cracked records on a 14R. Here we dont even have a dyno Not the fastest but still, I would say that my 14R is dam quick.
