Thought I'd put a picture of a bike I put together in.... 1995-96. I loved this one, an ace machine. It was the K Model with the long stroke engine and a bit of an attitude!

I got it as a standard bike with some fairing damage so that was coming off anyway.

I didn't do any engine mods, just to keep it reliable.
Some specs.. as far as I remember...

Renthal bars, goodridge/braided steel oil pipes (cam to cam & crankcase), Mocal 19 row oil cooler, Harris one off yokes & risers, Triumph yellow paint job (on top of the tank was a celtic [Scottish] interlaced 'two dogs' zoomorphic design, no pics unfortunately). Pirelli Dragon Tyres, White Power steering damper. Micron (2000, I think) stainless steel exhaust downpipes and alloy race can.

It produced around 120 BHP. I used it most days and I loved the way the front wheel would gently rise putting on the power existing roundabouts. The steering damper was excellent and kept it stable at ...ermmm... higher speeds.
The exhaust note on idle was a low burbling growl. Under acceleration it YOWLLED.

I'd a Bandit 1200 too with I messed with but, sold it for the Harley. Pictures of those too...

GSX-R11...3rd picture. The Bandit was pretty standard apart from cosmetic changes and the carbon exhaust. Did the cam feed pipes too, Renthals and a small fly screen... and a lot of polish... I loved that bike too... and the Harley and and and

I have used a Speed Triple, the first of the newer style ones. I was with a BMW/Kawasaki/Triumph dealer in 1998 - 2000. We went to Croft racetrack in the North of England to test the BMW R1100S (The new 'sports' BM at the time) and I spent most of the day on the Speed III which was there as a comparison. Loved the growl off the exhaust.

Beautiful, but SCARY on the back section of the track. We were briefed before going out and told to "get over to the right of the track and keep it wide open as the blind corner appears and it'll straighten out nicely" at well over 120mph on the approach I thought.... NO IT'S SOOOO WRONG... but held it open and WOW... what a buzz, awesome experience.
I haven't used one since, unfortunately.
