Congrats. Ride Safe.

This is the first time I am seeing a box packed bike getting unboxed. Looks Awesome.

Best of luck with your new ride..

BTW, your ride looks like a raptor in the cage, waiting to get loose...
Matter of time Dude!!

P.S.- Did you get any freebies (helmet, keychain, bike cleaning cloth..... )
Will be eagerly waiting to read your experiences. No freebies whatsoever. looks like they are carrying huge inventory cost!!

The wait was killing me; hence I had to go today to have a look at her. Unfortunately I had missed the PDI due to my work schedule last week. (Dam I missed the PDI..so frustrating )

But anyways today she was in one piece with no parts hanging around. Was dam excited to Fire her up. But after three attempts I still couldn’t do it. Then the Manager there explained me how to co-ordinate between throttle & the starter and he managed to Fire her up. And oh boy wasn't she sounding superb. Now I also like soft music, but anything hadn't sounded so sweet in my life. The tone was deep and uniform.
I also tried to rev her and notice something different. When we rev normal bikes, the tachometer needle just rises to the limit which you have subjected it to. But in this case the response is so swift the needle touches 5-7k mark casually even with slightest touch. Now I changed my approach. I tried to steadily increase the throttle and the response now was smooth and steady. No sudden increase in the needle. Well looks like bike knows riders intentions in advance with G.E.N.I.C.H in place. Just kidding!!
Now it was my turn to fire her. But same old story. But finally after some tries I got hang of it. I was happy in a way. I thought if I have to learn, as basic as how to crank her up after my almost 11 years of riding experience then I really have long way to go. Basically have to start from scratch. That will be fun.

Update: Have to survive 3 days more to take delivery. The wait is killing. RTO is having consecutive holidays. This is then followed by some inauspicious days (according to my folks) in coming week. So Ideally Friday should be the D-Day. Keeping my Fingers crossed!!

This does not sound right. A new R1 and the manager has to fire her up, with the throttle and the start button? Shouldn't the button suffice?
Ask them to check her up.

Unless I am missing the picture, this sounds like primitive Bajaj days to me!
