Sorry for the OT but Petal disc or wavy disc are supposed to be better wrt to heat control as surface area is less than regular ones.

Sorry jee, no idea but just applied a logic. forgive me guys

Any light on this?

Theories and conjectures. Who knows whether they're actually true or not. It does help in dirt and trail bikes but on road bikes, I'm not so sure??? But they look cool

Like the other myth of SS braided brake lines. People go out and change the original lines as soon as they get the bike (including me), it makes no perceivable difference in the braking performance of new road bikes.

SS braided lines won't make a difference until you are pushing the bike through canyons...several braking zones coming in quick succession. Throw in a bit of heat and you'll find the brake feel to be consistent. With stock hoses there is considerable "give" in the lever and you are forced to apply more and more pressure as the ride progresses. Gives you a serious case of arm "pump" which is a throbbing muscle ache.

It definitely isn't a case of apples vs. oranges but you'll enjoy the consistency and longer life of the SS braided lines.

No seriously...until you've experienced it - quite hard to explain. For casual riding and - makes NO difference whatsoever.

Very true, we just ride casually from point A to B at no more than 60 kmph... after all, any faster and we won't be seen.

You'll be surprised at the kind of superbike riders I come across...this guy in Thane was riding around in his PJs on a Blue R1 with a plastic bag hung off his left clipon with food or something in it
