Default India Exclusive on xBhp: Urban Commandos : The 2010 Hyosung 250 EFi Range Review

Recently I shot the new fuel injected 2010 Hyosung 250 CC models in Melbourne, Australia at their official launch. Here is an India exclusive article on the mega 250CCs. This is all the more important in the wake of the Ninja 250 being launched in India!

Superb pictures but the reviews for the GT250 have been less than kind. Most of the reviews talk about the low quality materials, premature rusting and general lack of attention to detail on the Hyosung machine vis the Kawasaki.

It is a bit down on power as well and although the V-Twin engine can make up for that deficit with better drive out of corners I guess most Indian buyers will be the datasheet prodding type.

If the price is right then none of the above will matter...it will be a small price to pay to have a shiny bit of kit parked in your driveway that offers decent fuel efficiency and fun as well.

Bring it on...

Awesome pics and writeup as usual Sunny. I do hope Mahindra follows the baby Ninja's progress and plans to (re?)launch atleast one of the Hyosungs if not all of them. The GT250R looks hawt!

You didnt read the article. It has to be Hyosung themselves to get the bikes into India, not through any third party importer who doesnt care about after sales service and the Hyosung brand image.

I did but since Hyosung had ties with the erstwhile Kinetic group which has been taken over by Mahindra now, i thought it would be but natural that Mahindra would renew any contracts? or re-launch the whole 250 range over here in India. In my humble opinion it would be asking too much from Hyosung to set up a country wide network in a place like India for a market which is very niche. Just my thoughts...

Nice to see that Hyosung is atleast thinking of a comeback!
The GT appeals me aesthetically more than the baby Ninja.

PS- Lovely pictures, as usual!

spot on. the only thing that makes its a considerable buy is the price tag. a GT650R EFI for just £4,599 including registration and 1st road tax is simply a brilliant idea for a beginner like me. By the way I "love" the new styling of 2010 range. A company which also manufactures cash/ATM machines beside bikes has upgraded his products to challenge the challengers, it seems. However, without doubt Ninja has eaten up the market of Hyusong by a great margin here in UK specially.

@sunny - you can sell any thing with your lens mate. those pics are just too fantastic
