Got bored with the plan Stock original looks, Made it look a little Sprint J The list of things done are as Below: 1.Michelin Pilot road 2 Multi compound a.120-60-17 Front b.160-60-17 Rear 2.New Rear tail Lamp 3.New Rear Master Brake Cylinder 4.GT Gas Tank Sticker 5.NEW Grip Shields 6.Body Paint Job & Lacquer 7.chassis Paint & Lacquer 8.Rims Painted, Lacquer & edge rings buffed 9.Mirror bedding fixed 10.All Nuts & bolts replaced or chromed. 11.HID wiring / painting changed. 12.Sticker job on rear croul ![]() heater to dry paint @ vijayalakshmi electro plating contact: Owner Giri 9945782214 or 9886243157 Painter Rafiq 9742515216 or 9845542042 ![]() Kit from Richard Jordan <richardhyosung@yahoo.com> GTR Fork Bracket Sticker : $20 GT Gas Tank Sticker : $18 Cylinder Head Gasket : $12 GT 125/250 Oil Strainer Set: $25 Brake Light : $40 Key Blanks : 2 for $5 NEW Grip Shields : $40 Gas Tank Decals: OUT OF STOCK Cowling Decals: Hightlight Colour Stickers: $20 (each Set) Rear Master Brake Cylinder: $70 Thanks To Sumit for pay Pal assistance & Richard for all the parts shipped. ![]() Parts that came in 4 days !!! lessons learnt order for < 2Kg & around 3K $ not more ![]() Rear Break Cyld ![]() handel Grip Shields ![]() ![]() ![]() Tail Lamp that broke while Shipment from Himalayas Trip ![]() Oil Strainer kit. ![]() Blank Keys to make duplicates ![]() Un finished bike with chassis & Swing arm still not painted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Notice the Rim buffing ? ![]() ![]() That is actually Black Paint with Blue pigment Lacquer. ![]() Chromed Screws ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This Mirror broke during our Munnar trip return, have re made it & put a chetak bleeding, the bleeding makes it look better than the original mirror !! ![]() Tank Sticker, I messed up the front fork stickers, didint know we have to not only cut the holes but also the are under the clamps that sit on it, so after tightning the handle bar the sticker just tore to pieces & I had to remove that. ![]() ![]() Had to remove the parts Again to Base paint the chassis, Dupont paint with bright silver & then 3 coats of Lacquer Now No rust hat had started forming in the joints. ![]() Covering & Masking other parts before paint ![]() Painting the base with a spray gun that needs a air compresses to be brought home ![]() ![]() ![]() Finish after base coat ![]() ![]() ![]() My Brother Shiva a.k.a Sony & My Cousin Raju a.k.a Rajesh, Raju really helped me put it together Thanks A Ton Pal. ![]() Finish after painted ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Got the Stickers don before Lackur so they stay in there. ![]() XBHP is Famous Man, they had the logo ready I only had to select it no need to explain & custom make as before Huraaaa.. ![]() ![]() lacquered Engine ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers Sunil

Brilliant job man, loved the color combination and the wheel buffing. Simply amazing stuff and i know how does it feels riding the Comet now!!! Hat's off restoration!

One question though... pardon my ignorance (if it is a default setting in comet). What is the purpose of that steel rod in the below picture?
