Default MY RX Thread. (Will be updated always)

Hi all,

i got the engine redone last year in end december. it was converted from 100 to 135 with a 5 speed gear box. the runnin was not done in a good way. i was ripping past 100 on the first day and till now. never cared to runnin it initially. the bike was running fast and nice for the topend. noticed the top speed once in trafic and crosswinds on NH8 on a short distance it came to be 118 on the GPS and there was still a lot of juice in the Lemon that i had. Now let me tell you why i call it a lemon.

The bike would not run in the band of 4-5K. this was a serious problem. realised that this is a major problem in march if i remember correectly. this was on way to chakrata with fellow xbhpians and i had my wife as a pillion. now the saga to sort the problem started.

all the electricals were checked.
the HT coil was changed.
CDI was put back to stock for a day.
Carb was changed to various different ones with different settings. some times the problem seemed to be resolved but it had sifted to differnet bands in the range of 2.5-5 K.

Now in the month of August i was so frustrated that i had though of converting the bike back to 100 and sell the Barrel and the gear box. but now i had spent a lot to get this conversion done and this is some thing that i really wanted.

Now again started to get my tuner Iqbal to work on it. it was decided that the barrel would be changed now to check if it was the problem.and he told me if that would be the problem i would be in a deep shit cause no barrels are there in the market and he would not give me his barrel cause he is left with just one.

left the bike with Iqbal last saturday. he started off by checking the electricals once again. Just to try he had use the Power box or the resonator or you can call the bost botel.

Guess what the problem is gone.

Hey yes the problem is gone.

i dont have to sell off my RX neither do i have convert it to the 100 again.

Topic Approved.

Now, we are talking. Desideep and RX can't live without each other. Although, I know zilch about two strokes and I am least interested in it, but somehow I have always thought about 'Desideep' whenever I have thought of two strokes, especially RXs.

It s amazing the resonator solved the problems. I love the RX for simplicity and minimalism. And yet so powerful. Great you started this thread desideep. Cheers!

118 on GPS
Is it a stock 5 speed ?.
Because the company has mentioned stock 5 speeds to have 110 kmph highest speed and that also speedo indicated I guess or true speed , in any case your bike defies it.
And still there was juice left

Anyways many congratulations .

Very true RX is simple lets see how far do i go with this. i have been asked by many to convert it to a offroader. but i am sure it may end up as a street bike with a proper 17" wheel setup, ported barrel, squished head and weight reduction.

i think it is almost stock, it has a RDD CDI but it would not make big difference in top end i am sure but i am sure it helps, my speedo shows no more than 90KMPH, this speed as i mentioned was in traffic with crosswinds. the other day we did a run with a KARIZMA running beside the ZMA was doing 125 while DCS crossed me on my RX. if we take +10 error still RX did 115. i have to do a run again before winters cause it has to be with minimum weight

I have heard a lot about your RX giving problems in the mid range and I always wanted to ride it to feel what people were talking about. Now you have given some details. And you say that the problem has been resolved. Good for you. Do let us know about more recent GPS readings whenever you do it. Thanks for sharing.
