I've heard My old mechanic say that cornering was a dream on the Kawasaki RTZ. Seen 3 Vehicles in and around my locality and one is absolutely stunning to look at!

some facts that i remember.

- the bajaj prowler was launched late towards the end of the 2 stroke era in india, but it sold only locally in and around PUNE iirc. PLease google you will find information on it. It had the fairing of the caliber chroma on it.

- The kawasaki was a screamer, and i believe could be started in reverse also, so the crank would rotate in reverse, and all gears would work the other way. you might find some videos on youtube.

- It had a disc valve technology, that enabled the engine to be free revving, i dont have much information on that one, but the disc valve was around 70-100 bucks, and ideally shouldve been replaced each service.

- The 100 and 125 both were known for their rock solid stability and handling, but the 125 was a screamer, and i have seen 120+ kmph on it, and around 110 + kmph true speed estimates. The last KB125 that i rode was around 97-98, so thats a good 11 years back! though i did ride a KB 100 about 3-4 years back. Great bikes!!!

Had an Auto India magazine copy from the 1996. Didn't see it after we shifted house last year That mag had SX Enduro's review and some good photo shots of it in some dirt track. The bike was in Ninja Green like colour and very funny shape for someone who had no idea about dirt biking. I have even seen one on the road in Visakhapatnam.

More Pics Interested .Was a great bike of the time.but Yamaha RX100 is what won the hearts of most riders of that times.I can't find even a single RTZ in My town neither a proper photo (thanks toNikhil Pereira) on net until now.

I would like to Know whether Kawasaki RTZ is the same as Kawasaki GTO series 2 strokers(110/125 cc) of 1980s available internationally(South East Asian Countries).seems RTZ were detuned to 12.5bhp while internationally they were(GTOs) having 17bhp spec at that time!
1990 Kawasaki GTO 125 specifications and pictures
