Default K-Bajaj Chronology

Hi all,

Let me add my two cents to this tread.

Few people may know that the KB100 had 5 variants:

1. KB100 when launched
2. KB100 RTZ
3. KB100 Colt (Yes that's right, I am sure no one knows of it)
4. SX Enduro
5. KB100 RTZ Delta Super-tuned (With Resonator).

After that in March 1996

1. KB125
2. KB125 (with new paint scheme)
3. KB-125 Prowler (5-speed gearbox).

This is the correct lineage of the KB bikes

The COLT was a stripped down cheaper version of the KB100.. mostly 4S parts, no seat cowl, 4s meters etc.. i might be having a pic..

Nice information there sixspeedtwin - ty.

I did hear/read about the Colt back in those days and only read about the prowler in some forums.

Ok my KB has a slight problem. It is leaking oil from the oil drain bolt at the bottom. I did change the bolt, tried diff washers, packing etc but the culprit is a tiny crack right near the threads. The best option look like a welding. Any other simpler idea that could fix this? Would m-seal etc hot on to it? I mean will it stay stuck even when the engine heats up?

Great!!!!

Please post the picture if you can. I still remember seeing the Colt, it was a weird gold-yellow paint scheme. But I remember that it had the regular KB100 Console. I could be wrong.

Best thing to do is to get a weld done. m-seal may not fix it permanently. To wed it, you need not dismount the engine

Guess what? I did a proper check today and thank god the crack was very minor. Just a very tiny one only on the top layer and it doesn't seems to be all the way in. So just used a different washer + some sealing tube and it seems to have fixed the problem.

I think she loves me LOL hence she wants attention someway or the other lol.
