Update
I somehow feel the culprit is not the jet; after updating here, I'd some time left, so I replaced the 165 with 180 mains & gave a try. But to my surprise the sputtering (same as video) continued & I could barely touch 60 Kmph at 5th gear beyond which the engine shuts off. I get a feeling that too much of air is getting mixed or too little fuel is flowing.

I really went mad & disconnected the air filter; which means, the other end of carb is not connected to the air filter box; but the same sputtering & engine shut offs continued. I know its foolish to try without air filter, but since the test was not even a KM, I gave it a try. Atleast now I'm confirmed that its not the issue with jet or with stock air filter; its got to do with something else

So I tend to believe its something else. This evening...
1. I'm going to clean the entire carbs
2. Check the condition of air screw

At this point, I strongly suspect the airscrew (remember the comet's sputtering & broken main jet?). Is there anything else I need to be looking at in addition to these? Pls advice gurus. Tks.

This is the case most of the times. Enquires keep coming & they never call back, hell even i don't give a damn now. I get lot of enquries locally & they ask me if they can come & see the stuff, i tell them politely please bring cash, else a big "NO" & then they never call up again.

There is a saying in Kannada "Bogola Nayi Kacchod illa", meaning a "Barking dog never bites", vice-versa also true. So there are many who just talk around tons & tons of crap over the phone, but when it comes to purchasing they mew like kittens.

Thats correct Krthik. These days i never call back again as im in no hurry to sell any of my parts. I know what they are worth and the worth will keep on increasing as the spares around dry up.
This im talking about only RX and Suzuki parts. I have not even showcased my RD spares coz i know there are only a selected few in India who would actually be buying them.

Update - No issues with air screw or I don't know if there's one. But the work turned out something different totally.

While fixing the airscew after cleaning, the spring fell of within the clutch cover & damn me!!! I'd to remove the entire cover. Then suddenly I hit upon the idea to change the front sprocket & changed to 15T.

A few days ago, when I complained there's a tuck tuck sound from the sprockets, one of our friend said - its due to duped part; man!!! what a genius & what a fool I'm to have trusted some vaccum headed mechanic!!! The part turned out to be fake one & after changing to the 15T, WOW, what a smooth ride? I've never experienced such a smooth ride before in my Rx.

Anyway, for the sputtering part, the issue remains the same as what I posted in the video. Its getting horrible & feel very irritated to ride on it. I need to take it to a mechanic I guess unless someone throws an exceptional idea. What more should I do with the carb? Should I get a stock carb & ditch the TM28?

Here's the fake part that served me for several years...

You mean the magnet side cover rt? man.. how can you? anyways.. i told you the sprocket cud be fake! good atleast one of your prob. got solved.
no need to dump the TM. what you can do is try another 135 stock carb with stock jets and see how the bike performs. This is the first thing you should do before u go to a mech. to try more experiments.

Bigger carb + stock intake = more fuel flow from the carb and lesser air intake, you need to match the AFR, if u cant ditch the TM and revert to stock carb.

Araey boss, I tested even without air filter, if that's the case, then it should've behaved properly right? But it didn't. Then how come the TM28 was working fine all these years or atleast just before the build?

I guess some part is worn out or something like that; can you guess anything apart from airscrew or idle screw? Did you have a chance to watch the video Psycho?
