Default Types of Yamaha RX100 bores/cylinders

Guys,

Please share your experience on more about the RX100 cyclinders. Since I am planning to get the new OEM cyclinder for my 96 RX100.

I heard that variety of models/types avail

G-1, G-2
Y-1, Y-2

Which one is best in powerwise?

Thanks,
Jay

Types of Yamaha RX135 bores/cylinders
  1. Resisted posting this.
  2. You do not have a choice while buying a RX series barrel. If you find one whatever the series feel lucky.
  3. Those numbering signify production batch. Specifications do not vary, Yamaha doesn't build for one cylinder for power and another for mileage, etc. You will get a standard 98cc bore at the end of the day.
  4. Y1 is spoken of highly coz its Japan make that came along with 1986-1989 models. Impossible to find it.

Your point is true, but in my case i had a 1988 model RX100 which when i bought the guy told me its a japan make etc. etc. i didn't know much about it... but my machine was a G1 not a Y1 even if it was a 1988 model... can you clarify this thing...
