Hi Team,

Is there a Bore, piston rings & reed valve cleaning required for Shogun for increase the piston life. My Mech told me this long time back so was thinking should I go for this, but then was scared if it might tamper the same.

Thanks

Open the bore at the following risk
1. Change to new rings
2. Change complete cylinder gaskets
3. All the more you'll be pushed to your good old running period upto 1000 Kms

Never ever touch your piston rings every micron of carbon on the rings matters a lot, but yes reeds and head exhaust and piston top carbon can be removed use thinner for that cleaning work.

If you clean the complete piston with rings and refit piston slap noise will occur.so just clean the piston top never clean the complete piston.

as long as you are getting agood compression, theres no need for a ring change. otherwise, do what aargee said. you can clean the exhaust port too.
