We reply to the issue based on what has been posted, unless you come up with accurate information, you might not get proper solution or guidance and it would be just a waste of time.

Also, not sure if you had posted your intro in 'Who are you' section of this forum. If not yet, kindly do so.
I mean I was not in my native when the reboring was done. Later I went to pick the rebored bike and Yes the reboring was done properly and no issues with that. But My main concern is the power and raw pickup which is missing.

May be as everyone is saying that I need to wait till some kms are done to get the pickup

Thumbs up

@Jamesrocky...........you told you have rebored the engine.......Did you increase the bore ??? I mean is your RX135 still the 135cc ???? is it stock bore or larger ???

What are your carb settings??? did you port??? (To optimise bigger bores,I am always in favour of bigger ports)

Whatever be the case......dont high rev your new engine now ..........pls,you may lose all your hard work and money invested, let the bike run free on its will.If its comfortable at 40kmph,let it be........if its comfortable at 75kmph let it be.Dont let any stress on the bike right now,200km is not enough for a new engine.........start going all out after 1000kms atleast.

One more thing.........dont always drive constantly at one speed, try to vary the speed according to the road, dont ride in a single gear for longer time...........engine would come to its element slowly.

Once near 900kms on new engine.......just speed to its maximum per gear.....I mean something like this:
1st gear........attain 40kmph or the maximum attainable speed with normal clutch release,(dont dump clutch in this run,you are not gonna wheelie or drag) without stressing the engine(minimize revs at redline).
2nd gear........attain 60-65 kmph or the maximum attainable speed with normal clutch release, without stressing the engine(minimize revs at redline).
3rd gear.........attain 85-90kmph or the maximum attainable speed with normal clutch release, without stressing the engine(minimize revs at redline).
4th gear.........attain the top speed attainable with normal clutch release(minimize revs at redline).

Then you see your engine would be on its own.You wont feel to complain about performance. The parts harden without stress and then needs to be tempered with mild stress.Hope this helps.

@ MACH50 thx for the detailed info. My Rx is still a 135 cc and it is a stock bore. No Modifications. Sorry I don't know about the carb settings and No porting stuff. The bike got new stock bore and it replaced the old bore

Yes, one will have to vary the speeds during run-in itself. 3rd gear 85-90Kmph on a stock 4-speeder is impossible, even with 90 degree down gradient !!!!. This is for the info of the owner of this thread.

One thing i would like to tell you here, a brand new Piston-Cylinder kit wheather run-in or not should give you a punch, if not the 100%, but atleast 70-80%, coz its an RX & not a Luna !!!

Have you checked the condition of crank shaft & clutch assembly ?

Were the engine bearings replaced ? Rather was the engine opened at all ?

Engines are nothing but moving mechanical components, so it cant last infinitely. You have not mentioned anywhere as to how old is your bike ?

Which silencer is it running on ?. You would need to de-carb it if required, replace the air-filter with a free flow one & then you will see the difference.

You have mentioned it was re-built, request you to kindly elaborate.

With Regards,
- Karthik..

Thats why I said "or the maximum speed attainable......." , the only 2t I ride is the Shogun,so my figures may vary.....
