Default My RX Twins

Finally i have the opportunity to post the pics of my RX135s together. The first of my RX is a 1999 RX135 4-Speed converted to 5-Speed with 5-Speed green colour scheme. The second one is a 2002 RX135 4-Speed in original colour. I prefer maintaining stock colour scheme.

Last week had been to NICE road with my brother for some testing & photo shoot.

Technically there are lot of mods done on both these machines, the list would be too long to discuss here, but just to give an idea of what these machines are, the Green one crosses 120Kmph effortlessly & the black one crosses 110Kmph effortlessly.

Hope you all have enjoyed looking at these machines.

- Karthik..

It should

Edit - Why did you leave alone the carbs? You should go for the flat slides & see the torque. Also what sprockets size are you running on for both the motorcycles?

Lovely sight of RX twin brothers. Awesome pictures.

As you told there are many mods done. If you could come up with jist of mods would be appreciated if not in detail.

It is like revival of 2stroke era which ruled the road with roar and smoke. Now it looks like peaking another time?

If the spares have not become a rare commodity many more such restoration would fill roads with 2 stroke bikes.

I'm sure this generation had missed such a wonderful 2 stroke era and now have some powerful 4 stroke engines but hardly there is a presence on the road (sound) unlike 2 strokes.

Carbs are not stock. Green: VM26 (used in RX-K) & Black: VM24. One flatside also available with my firend, will try it out. The run-in just got over after reboring with 2nd O/S ART piston. Will try out these stuffs as & when possible. Really busy with office work & RX spares.

Green: 16/37
Black: 16/34

Thanks for the comments though.

The green one, has a Gladiator disc setup. This is a direct fit & is very very effective. This was a brand new setup i had purchased 2Yrs back. The action is very crisp & agile.

The black one has pulsar & some mixture setup, picked up way back from scrap. Its really ok ok stuff, better than drum. I am planning to change to Gladiator setup for this as well, but maybe after 1 or 2yrs when i do the cosmetic rebuild of this one. No money for this right now.

When we have a disc setup available from Yamaha, why go for another make? Except Yamaha, for me everything else is just a compromise.
