Default RX series model identification sequence

Hi all,

I was in the process of trying to collate the Engine/chassis number sequence for RX series bikes...

This will allow us to find the genuine bikes over the converts (4-speed to 5-speed for eg).

All engine numbers will start with a 3 character model identification code

As for as I know the sequence is this:

RD350 HT IAI.51.xxxx
RD350 LT 00xxxx
RX100 1L1.xxxxx
RXG & RX135 1L3.xxxxx
RXZ 4-speed 1L5.xxxxx
RX135 5-speed 1L7.xxxxx
RXZ 5-speed 1L9.xxxxx
RXZ 5-speed (2003) 4UU.xxxxx
RX135 4-sp catcon ?????????

Please advise on any errors ....

Also why the difference in the RXZ 5-speed bikes ....

My RXZ 5-speed has 4UU.xxxxx it also has a restrictor at the air filter which my mech says he has never seen before on a 5-speed..

Any inputs will be appreciated.

Sir, very nice information about the RX series. My bike is 1998 RX135 4S, it has the serial number as 1L5xxxxx

May be RXG might have come with 1L3? I'm not sure.
