Default yamaha rxz(1998) 4 speed ,is it worth buying?

Hi friends ,
I am a old biker,I am about to buy this yamaha rxz135,4 speed 1998 model for frequent use.The amount of this deal is Rs 5000/- only (unbeliable).Ofcourse this bike is in need of a good overhaul.mileage is not concern for me because It will be used for two weeks with a gap of 3 or 4 months. After buying; i will perform a simple painting job & engine job. Please suggest me that is it worth buying?

Fishy!!!
Check whether its not a stolen bike, had a very bad accident and the frame is bent/twisted, involved in an accident and a case is pending on it!!

Stay away, parts for RXZ are extremely rare. You can opt for Rx100 or Rx135 4 speed model instead.

For 5k, If u dont buy it, I will.

But please ensure that the RC book Engine and Chassis numbers correspond to that of the bike.

As for spares availability, only the body parts are different ... the rest is the same.

Also u may not get OE body parts, but Local makes are easily available and are not too bad either.....

best wishes.

yup. check papers, engine and chassis number, and make sure they are not hand stamped ( alignment of the numbers will be a dead giveaway ). For 5k, and if you spend about 25k on this bike, you will/can have a gleaming new machine.

Check the frame for rusting, bends, and the petrol tank for leaks.

From the looks of it I think it has been through an accident or something. Make sure you check chassis alignment as well!

Sry to bother, isn't the exhaust of RXZ different from the engine? Reason I'm specific on this is because, that's the note that distinguishes RXZ in the RX series.

Me being a OE freak, know very well that there's only a supply for RED for now, all other colors including black are extinct.
