Hi All,
![]() I m from Mumbai and have come across this site by goggling on to search answers to certain queries. So i do have certain questions which are still pending back of my mind which i request you all to help me answering them as i need to complete my mod. I have a RE 350 Cc 1980 model and recently bought RX 100 for 11k in a good cosmetic condition, as the prices for RX is jacked up like anything i thought to purchase before it high time to even think for one. ![]() What shall i do to get a good initial pickup with top speed of somewhere around 120? .When i took my bluee (as its blue in color) the first day to office commuting distance of approx. 22 km it was like all other bikes were passing by comfortably and i was left dragging it till the end .Then me and my mech started altering it: 1. we first changed the clutch plate 2. we then gave it for partial port 3. we then fixed a power box to it 4. we changed the sporket to RXZ ones 5. changed the reed valve to proton reed valve 6. and just bought a irradium spark plug which needs to be fixed. now today morning over the same ride it took off to 30 at 1 gear, 65 second and 90 at third and was unable to pull it more and try 4th as was with other vehicles and the road was crowded. bike is now producing a very good sound and has got very high power which gives a jerk but after certain speed.how can i get a better intial pickup and how can my max speed put up to 120? Awaiting ur reply as need to drop it for paint work tom. |

I don't know what to say as I'm not sure if you've come across an 100 that does 120 on Sigma!!! Anyway, all the best for your project!!!

I'm not saying its IMpossible, but not worth the mighty effort
Rx100 is smooth enough, what else do you need? Anyway talking on the mods... - Stage 2 or 3 porting on cylinder* - TM24 or more with Uni filter - Expansion chamber - Head mod Do the above for the time being & see how it performs *If your cylinder is still not sleeved, STAY AWAY from doing all the porting job Last but not the least, if you want to ride (or cruise) in 120, then buy a bigger motor that can do the job rather than catalysing a smaller ride. It doesn't mean to stay away from mod, do it, but to a certain extent only, not to the extreme. PS - Pls avoid SMS language in the forum for your posts to be deleted by the Mods.

Alright I apologize for being slang as was unaware about the same.
However I tried getting UNI filter but was unable to get it at Laminton road, can u help me if you know where can i get it in Mumbai. Cause in here they have KNN filter and none other. Also if Expansion chamber, then what sought? where do i get it from? my friend suggested me Fayiaz's name he is a mechanic out here. Do you know somebody which you prefer suggesting. Lastly many thanks for replying back to my queries. |

1. Try a bigger main jet
2. Try lifting the needle 1 notch These should let your bike rev out a little bit more at the top end. I think your jetting is a bit off. Try a front sprocket with 1 extra tooth (if you are light weight) or 1 less tooth (if you are heavy). Your weight etc. all weigh in on the equation especially with such a small bore engine.
