Default My RXG and other bikes updates- Nitesh

Hey there guys,
Been thinking for a long time about where to post updates/ queries etc. about my bikes and since i do not have my own thread i thought of starting this. I will start with my Yamaha RXG which is my daily runner .
As most of you all know, my RXG started out as a BigBore project with lots of expectations. I was promised a street port delivering at least 18 bhp, "loads of low end torque" etc.etc. To start with the project took a whole 8 months to finish. The project failed miserably. The bike used to bog down heavily in the initial rpms and even after fitting a 30mm carb and lots of experimentations with the carburetion the powerband kicked after 4500 rpms which is useless for what was supposed to be a street stroker. Lots of precious money and time lost.
Eversince i took matters in my own hands, many changes have taken place on the bike and now finally theres a level of satisfaction and it runs much much better with a great initial and is a joy to ride.

Heres a brief list of the changes made over the last 10 months.
1. first thing was to change the block back to a stock one with ports cleaned and polished.
2. new ART 1st OS piston set.
3. changed the fake noisy 5 speed gearbox and reverted back to the original 4 speed one. [Couldnt afford to spend more on a new OE 5 sp. GB now]
4. complete engine overhaul with new bearings and oil seals.
5. Boyesen dual stage fiber reeds on a stock reed cage.
6. 5 sp engine covers.
7. RDD CDI with 90/100 kit
8. Latest is the Mikuni VM 26 carb with a UNI filter. Its a RXking carb and to my surprise it is such a direct fit and perfect jetting that i didnt even have to adjust the airscrew much!
9. replaced the fake clutch plates with RXking ones.
10. RXZ rear mudguard.
More in the pipeline is replacing the clutch bell [yes, it didnt even last 10 months after the rebuild!]

Some pics-
Paint scheme and decals etc. designed by yours truly. Special thanks to 'BigBore' aka Arun for all the help and devoting his time whenever needed.

No use dude the RX100 hasn't got enough timing advance as an RXG/RX135, there are very very slim benefits for the mula that you spend on the CDI. Just keep your RX100 in top condition like the ring gap etc etc make sure you've got enough compression, with perfect ring seal and she will keep grinding dust into glass for you

Yamdoot:- Excellent bike out there with lot of goodies. Doc's treatment is done for better life and here it is!

The specs reads the best that can be provided to a bike.
What barrel you are currently running? 5 speed one?

I'm not doing any marketing out here however, would like to share the benefit of running Ron Chinoy's magic box -RDD CDI kit for RX.

1. Good spark
2. Better combustion of fuel thus engine runs cool
3. Lower smoke
4. Better pickup
5. Some say even mileage has improved.

Yamdoot: Please to the above if I had missed any.

True true I have seen the results on the forum both RX 135 and RD350 had very very less emissions I had this picture in mind that he was talking about the RDD CDI for RX100 from performance and gains POV like you get massive gains in the 135 series.
