Thumbs up whats next after fixing Cylinder.

Hi Guys,

some of you might recognized me bcoz of my Shogun piston in Rx100 Cylinder(was a mess).

Now i have planned to go for a new OE cylinder kit. for my Rx100 88 model. is it available? how much it costs?

More over i want to know that, whats next after installing cylinder? should i be running in 30kmph or 40knph for 2k or 3k/Km?
After running specified Km's should i have to try maximum speed in each gear?

The basic idea is not to lug it, run at high/constant rpms and also maintain enough pressure in the bore so that the rings seal properly. Personally I think wet run-in is just overrated when you can dry run-in much easier breaks in very early. Some even say it takes only 1 hour for a new top-end to break in. What about your crank and engine bearings? it is advisable to replace the bearings and o-rings.

After installing cylinder, you need to bolt the studs followed by cylinder head ; jokes apart, If its a genuine OE cylinder, then, strict under 40 Kmph upto 200 Kmph & then you can go upto 50 for another 300 Kmph. But to be on safer side, follow the Escorts manual.

Read the above 200 Kmph as Kms & 300 Kmph as Kms. Thanks for pointing it out @Activa

If u don't get a genuine yamaha CP kit then get a Diamond one. It's easily available and would do the job untill u get genuine one.
1)Original yamaha CP kit or Diamond Cp kit
2)Crank repair if needed(check wid ur mech)
3)OIL seal kit
3)Packing kit
4)Engine main bearings
This is all i can recall.
will let u know more if missed iut something.

Any specific reason as why this needs to be changed without checking the present condition

Dont get the Diamond kit,not worth it for sure.bike heats up like crazy becos of the liner quality & returns pathetic mileage.

I really enjoy the sound of 2-strokes idling. I love the uncertainty of it

Definetly not.8000 KM done till now using Diamond kit.No heating issue as far.Decent mileage of 35-40.If OEM is not available then why not Diamond?
