Default Too much smoke from yamaha rx 135

Hi All,
I have a problem with my bike giving out a lot of visible white smoke. i have a yamaha rx 135. After trying a lot of premix combinations and fixing my oilpump(which almost screwed my engine) i am coming to you guys as my last ray of hope. Please helpme.
Here s what i have already done to the bike to fix this smoke problem.
1> Changed the oil seal, as my mech had told but that didnt fix the problem
2> decarbonised the silencer twice in two months, stil the same problem
I use the premix fuel from shell petrol bunk at 3%, and before that was mixing 20 ml for a litre of fuel.
I use shell helix for engine oil..
All this and still no change. the smoke problem is persisting
Now my mechanic is tellin me that some engine packaging needs to be changed and for that he has to completely dis assemble the engine, will take 2 days to do this. I am very skeptical about this and need you guys to tell me if i should go ahead for this exercise or not.
Also let me know if i change to yamalube or motul, would it significantly show results.
i am supposed to leave the bike this weekend for getting the engine packaging changed and you guys please let me know if its fine.

even after engine warmed up ? Check head gasket, piston rings. Use only 20-25 ml 2T

+ 100. Seems like sign of a Jammed Piston Rings. I might be completely wrong though.

How about the 2T oil directly going into the crank case. This might be the case.

Another one could be, as already said, piston rings or the piston

Thanks for the reply... So looks like there s no need to get the bike s engine ripped off to check/change the packaging....
Also how long would it take to check and if reqd change the piston rings... anyone aware of a good RX mechanic in bangalore, preferrably in shivajinagar area...?

Raghu, looks like u r being taken for a ride by your mech.

Check the spark plug type and electrode gap. I think for RX plug type is BP7HS from NGK. will look it up for u if u need that info.

Tell me, is the engine oil (not 2T oil) level dropping? If yes, u have a busted oil seal and the engine oil is finding it's way into the combustion chamber. Had the same issue with my RD. Fixed the Oil seals, problem solved.

Also please get your oil pump going again.

It's very reliable. It is better for your engine than premix. I have ALWAYS used my oil pump (RD, RX100 and RXZ 5s) without any problems.

Show ur bike to another competent mech.

Premixes at oil bunks very often use 20W40 instead of 2T. That could also be an issue.

If u r using 20 ml / Liter, it is too low coz on the RX, 1 liter petrol uses up approx 30 ml oil. With the oil pump on. (1000 ml = 1000 km at approx 30 kmpl)

Get your oil pump removed from the bike if u still intend to go with premix. Nothing is worse than running a dry oil pump. Renders it unusable very soon.

Remember that Oil Pumps are an UPGRADE over premix. Get the oil pump calibrated correctly.

Get your bike a second opinion. If another mech also tells u to open up the engine, make sure u have all spares and the budget to see it through

Changing gaskets and rings will take approx 3 hrs provided u have all the spares handy.

Hey.. thnx a lot for ur suggestion.. even i had the doubt that my mech is taking me for a ride, and hence wanted to get some opinions of you guys on the forum..
As i had already mentioned, i have got the oil seal changed and that did not fix the problem, and only after that, my mech suggested that i open up the engine.

the engine oil is not dropping very soon, i use shell 20W50

i am a big fan of the pump, i never wanted to use the premix, i have also started a thread initially when i got hold of this bike here, asking if pump is better or the premix, i did get mixed responses though, so i gave to a YASS and got the bike serviced and specifically told them to check the pump and let me know, i also told that i wouldnt mind getting the pump changed in case its not working, but they told me that its fine and even filled my side oil tank with the yamalube 2t oil, but a few weeks from there and my bike almost seized. so i ditched the pump and went back to premix.

i have completely removed the connection to the oil pump in the bike.

One last thing is, im just not able to find a good mech who knows everything about an RX, who can advice and fix this problem for me... Please please please let me know if you/anyone is aware of one..
