Ok here it comes, the final episode of my RX story Then a horrific incident took place on the 31st of December 1992. After midnight my younger brother took out the bike without my notice, rode triples with his friends and entered an “S” bend at very high-speed and unable to handle the bike at the exit, banged into an electric pole. We got the news of the accident at 2:30 AM. After a few lakh rupees and one year of hospitalization, he recovered from the external injuries, but severe damage (un-recoverable) has been done to the nerves of his hand and leg. He is now living with a paralyzed left hand and leg since 1993. Bike was completely destroyed as it literally embraced the electric pole (high-speed to 0 kph in one second) it didn’t flip. It hit the pole sideways and hugged it. Imagine the brutality of impact. The rider (my Bro) narrowly missed his head hitting the electric pole, still seated on the bike as the two friends tightly packed on the bike behind him, he took all the impact. He got his hand broken at two places, the electric pole (a de-commissioned Rail road track used as an electric pole) sliced open his left knee joint, his left foot got struck between the concrete foundation of the pole and the bike, so the rider foot-rest rod pierced through his left foot breaking all 5 bones in its path. His two friends were thrown from the bike on impact and suffered minor injuries. A sad end for a bike which I loved more than any thing in the world. Decided to junk it due to pressure from my family not to ride it again. I can’t express my feeling when the bike is being loaded into a mini truck on its final journey to the Junk yard. Still there isn’t a single day without memorizing my RX-100. RIP - AIJ 1812 1987-1993. The End

@Frank:- Though it was sad to know the end of RX, however, Almighty being with your brother survived that one hell of a crash which is unthinkable. We shall continue to cherish RX memories in years to come.
