Thanks frankpilli .....Original color was grey. light blue and black.....liked black very much and don't know much about the interior, so went with red.

Vintage cars and bikes are always a head-turner and every Yamaha, Ducati or any bike or car owner has to bear the risk of being utterly neglected in front of them....

Sir, your collection is awsome... glued to this thread to read and learn....

I am amazed by the power, engine capacity of the vintage cars... i never thought them to be so powerfull at least in engine terms...

Planning a ride of South India in Jan 2012... Mangalore added and with your permission the opportunity to see the collection of these gems....

On a lighter note.. from the dialogue of the movie Deewar... a new guy may say... Mera Pass Merc hai, audit hai, BMW hai, Ducatti hai... tumhare pass kya hai... an you can just say... mere pass insab ke BAAP hein..

Default 1950 Ambassador Popular


Ambassador Motorcycles was a British motorcycle manufacturer. Founded by racer Kaye Don after the Second World War, the company produced lightweight motorcycles with Villiers and JAP engines and imported Zundapps from Germany. Production started in 1947 with a 197 cc Villiers-engine bikes. In 1953 a model was produced with electric starters and the first Ambassador twin appeared in 1957. The company was taken over by DMW in 1963 who continued production until they closed the company in 1965
