If that's the same thing that was fixed by me, I'm pretty sure that it will not leak

Yes, it is Sandhar which comes RX 100 Imprinted on the rim wall. Mandap is not available now but if you're really looking out for Mandap, I've got two which can be exchanged for Sandhar.

Electricals is something that are really donkey year old and should be upgraded. The electricals should be upgraded to the 12V and a minimum of 60/55W. IMO it will not degrade the authenticity any which ways.

I used to curse every single person on the road and especially during rains for flashing high beams, thats until i got the coil winding done. The RX-100 is closest to my heart and would really keep close on the thread. My best wishes for your restoration.

How co-incidental... Even I'm going into a complete disassemble mode on my RX but not for a restoration. It's already looking fine! I'm going in for facelift of the RX. Will post 'before' and 'after' pic once completed. Lazy to start a thread for it...

Good luck with the restoration!!! Make it happen soon....

So finally we will get to see the much awaited RX100 rebuild Sri.. Nice start with collecting the required spares. If your Japanese parts are still [which they should be] in good running condition, do not replace them. Things like the CDI , Ht coil if japanese, dont replace them unless you are opting for 12v electrics. Crank like Nitin said, should do the job after a rebuild. Dont forget to balance it. Get all the bearings from an authorised bearing shop. [ SKF, FAG ] .. buy HH rims if Mandap is not avlbl. Use the RXG YEIS set up . When buying the engine stickers make sure they are not from the RX135 with YEIS written.

@Ram:- Thanks for the information Liqui Moly.
The 2T oil tank that you fixed is good and has gone into my RX135. . I've procured the lens and gasket from YASS here. Will try to fix and see how's the job turned out to be.
Regarding Rims, will think about exchange.

You are absolutely right, feel like the headlight equivalent to zero watts bulb or night lamp on the road. Coil rewinding is a good option however, the local technicians are too good that they will reinvent the coil plate and you'll remember them forever! Might go for readily available 90/100 lighting kit if that goes with RX100 and peace of mind. Thanks for your wishes.

Hey Jay, nice to hear from you. Heard KL rocks when it happens to RX. I got to know from Sanjith Joseph (Kochi member). Please open up a thread, might help you to get some ideas to go about, also that would give a chance to new entrants to learn. That's the whole point besides seeking advises/help from this 2 stroke community.

Yes, it was there in my mind for a long time. After careful study on the spares availability decided to buy and restore RX100. But this did not happen last week but couple of months ago. Yes, started collecting spares for the bike for a long time as and when Sriram with funds. Also spread the words for the spares that I'm looking out for helped to get them in due course of time. I've a rough list of spares that has been maintained for this restoration, as and when it flashes across my mind, writing in a piece of paper and checking for them locally.

To be frank I've not even opened the side panels to see what's inside. As I said earlier, only after the paperwork (TO) is complete shall see what's inside. Also, have already decided to go for 12v for better lighting support. Offcourse, if found Japanese parts would neatly enter my godown for now and not going to throw away.

I want to be more consistent when it comes to moving parts inside. So have planned to go for new crank as of now. If the existing is good, shall keep the new one for future.

3 months back got the OE bearing kit from YASS. Hope the bearing kit is the same for both 100 and 135, why I'm asking is that, then I had some oil leakage on 135 earlier say 3-4 months back, thought might be some oil seal busted inside. Later found to be the 2T oil tank, in meanwhile bought all the oil seal kit and bearings so that I can change them as well.

Have HH on my 135 front wheel, however, they might be strong; chrome is fading faster than rear which is Sardhar RX100.18. Confused

Use the RXG YEIS set up .
You mean the boost bottle/Resonator box set up that sits underneath the tank? If yes, why so?

Will make a note of this.

YEIS because it usually gives a better mid range. Even if it has no effect on performance, its still harmless. No harm in trying it.

Will make note of this. I already have 135 manifold provision for the connecting tube for YEIS. Need to source the parts. Also, would take it step by step as I would like to first feel the stock and go for this change.
