Talking Putting the Thump back into the Thumper

This is my first thread on xbhp , been a member since quite sometime now know a lot of people too . so plz excuse me if do make any mistakes

It was around the year 1995 i was just a 5 year old kid back then . the best part of the day was always the ride from to and fro to school , din know much back then but all i used to wait for was to sit with my dad on his thumper and just enjoy the ride , allways wondered when id be able to ride this bike .. kept dreaming all the time kept sayin very soon very soon to myself all the time grew up with the bike as time passed , it was dads primary mode of transport for a long time lots of miles wer clocked on all of them awesome , the bull never skipped a beat ! fast forward 2004 , bad news due to health reason's dad was adviced not ride the bike as it cudn worsen his back pain ! now since there was qualis at home the bull was put into a prolonged hibernation with even a intention of getting rid of it

but my dream to ride that bike had still not been fulfilled and at 16 got my first gearless and when i turned 19 i was gifted a pulsar 200 for my use all the while the thumper was still forced to hibernate , but deep inside me i was trying and thinking of all possible ways to put life back into it , finally today after lirtrally trying to convince parents from 2 years that its ok for a 21 year old to have a 3rd bike for use finally dad agreed

so after 7 years staying in the same place exposed to all the elements it was in a bad condition looked like a rust bucket :P but its ok she will be looking pretty as ever pretty soon ..the restoration of the STD 350 begins today !!

boy oh boy im excited or wat !!!

The bike was striped down today and tomorow the engine and gear box will be striped hoping that something is at-least salvageable inside !! few sleepless nights in the coming days for sure .. since im a total noob when it comes to the restoration etc so any pointers , advice's,tips wat ever it is , shall be deeply appreciated thanks in advance

few pics ( i know it looks bad )
